Idk how the rating is so high for this place because the food is sooo mid and they have an unwelcoming attitude. I’ve been twice and tried to give it a chance but have been disappointed with the quality both times.

The second time I went they also charged me different prices than what was on the menu stating “price increases”. About a $3 difference. Which wasn’t worth it all. Almost $16 for some white rice and chicken is crazy.

I won’t be back.

Ordered the Kung Pao chicken. It was not good. The chicken was very fatty and also fried. Good Kung Pao uses grilled, lean chicken

A little pricey for my taste. The food was good. The place has a few basic tables and chairs

Found a piece of jagged metal in my food halfway through eating. This is so unsafe. Now I’m worried that I’ve eaten other metal pieces.

I’m so sad! We have been ordering here since it opened and it has sadly gone down hill. The chicken in the general tsaos that was once fresh and crispy is now soggy like when you reheat it the next day. Still has a good flavor though. The chow mein that used to have a ton of flavor is now super bland and noodles are overcooked. The hot and sour soup and egg rolls were still good. I’m hoping it was just a bad night because we have had good meals here in the past.

I ordered General Tso's chicken. The menu photo showed it with steamed broccoli, which is also how it's traditionally served. Instead, mine had bell peppers, carrot, and baby corn. Was it orange chicken? Sweet & sour? No clue. It tasted okay, but I was too far away to return it--I was also jonesing for the broccoli, so I was really disappointed. I'll give them a second chance, but only because my sister really loved her combination wide rice noodles.

Stopped by while in the neighborhood for a quick lunch. The shop is very bare bones which is fine, but the cashier was quite rude for no reason.

For food, it ranged from subpar to wrong. Most other Szechuan restaurants in the city offer the same dishes we ordered and they are MUCH better.

Dan dan noodles: served unmixed, with a cold scoop of clumped up ground pork on top. Was told to just mix it up, which, whatever. But even after all that doesn't taste like dan dan. It was just plain noodles with chili oil (pretty sure it was just lao gan ma).
Eggplant with spicy garlic sauce: was not garlicy or spicy. Came drowned in some sweet and sour tasting sauce. Also the larger pieces of eggplant weren't cooked all the way through.
Boiled fish in chili oil: the best dish we got, but every where else we get this at does it much better. Just okay at best.

A few bites of everything and there’s not a single thing here that I want to keep eating. The breading on the chicken is chewy and tasteless - like it was frozen, reheated and tossed in sauce. Stale.
The rice is under seasoned and extremely oily (derogatory).
The “pan fried” pot stickers and limp, rubbery, and have very little taste to them. Also were ice cold in the middle, leads me to again believe nothing here is made even remotely fresh. Save your money.

As a note, this was a delivery order so I can expect some change in temperatures and quality, but this far exceeds what would be normal for “delivery quality”

I went to this place twice! If there’s zero stars I’ll give them zero stars: the food doesn’t taste at all! I was curious why they got 4.6 stars in ratings, after I dug a little deeper, I found out that the same clients are leaving the good feedbacks! It’s not worth it! I don’t recommend!

So I've been to Szechuan corner twice. Had kung pao chicken both times cuz I figure well. Let's see how consistent they are. The food is very good. And the lunch special, including an appetizer and bowl of soup for a little under $14 is still a pretty good deal. Don't go for the ambiance as you'll see in the picture. It's just blue painted walls and basic tables. But they do a ton of takeout. Now please understand this isn't gourmet Chinese food. This is quick. Serve fast Chinese food. I believe it's all made to order and it comes out piping hot and tastes great.

I ordered the spicy garlic chicken entrée. Instead, I was presented with the garlic pepper chicken. The employee working there tried to convince me that the entrées are the same however, one has a large amount of pepper and the other does not. Also, the correct order would have bamboo shoots in addition to red peppers and mushrooms. The incorrect entrée has mostly just lots of onions without any other vegetables.

This is obviously not what I wanted. The employee offered to make me a new entrée however it would take 15 to 20 minutes. I was not offered any compensation or refund for the incorrect order and I am not pleased. Don’t call me a snob, as I shouldn’t have to wait 15 to 20 minutes extra just because you clearly got the order wrong.

Side note: I ordered chicken fried rice as well. I would grade the quality above-average. As far as the black pepper garlic chicken goes, if you don’t like gobs of pepper on each piece of chicken, do not order it. It was not pleasant.

Bon appetit.

AMAZING-- best Chinese takeout on the north side of town. They do everything right, and even basics are quality. Would recommend anything on their menu! Portions are good as well for the price.

Space itself has a few tables, no bathroom, but would definitely do in a pinch to eat in as well. Ample parking in the lot for pickups.

Hi hello, how are you back again with another restaurant and another review szechuan corner I’ve ben working next to these guys as neighborsthe a cross the street of Ashland Diversy for like almost 5 years never ever visited that Chinese restaurant until one rider came with me as an Uber rider and she told me that the best Chinese food is szechuan The food looks amazing. Awesome taste more than delicious. the lamb is a go to tender melt in the mouth. The chicken is good bit dry, but I really do have something to say to the owner. If he or she reading this review number one please train that beautiful girl on the casher bit more training let her gain more confident but she did a good job taking my order. She missed it a little bit, but it’s OK I understand and she did really good job taking the order of the lady after me and also please I am not a carb eater I don’t eat rice and I specifically says I don’t want rice because I’m gonna throw it away and this is God‘s grace. We can’t throw it away so I’m gonna eat it in different times so could you please next time take care of the order the soup is delicious. I ordered it with the egg. I asked dad if it’s cooked she said yes did not find the egg. if the owner takes care of this little details, it could be the next panda express or the Chinese version of chipotle
