We had dinner somewhere else so we came here for drinks and desert. Had the margarita flight in the tajin and coconut hibiscus rims and they were tasty! On the sweet side but so good! Also had a flight of their infused tequilas and wow, soooo good! Their flan and churrolette was amazing!! We will definitely go back for more and to try the food. I high recommend!

Being denied a cup of water and told $4 for a bottle of ice mountain water is wild lmao

I've had good experiences in the past but this most recent time on Friday 4/5/24 when we went for a friend's bach party was awful. The drinks were terrible. We told the manager on duty that our drinks tasted really off (how do you mess up a tequila pineapple? It tasted so watered down) and he questioned us multiple times as if it we weren't telling the truth and it felt like we had to pull teeth to get any sort of compensation. In the end we didn't even accept replacement drinks because of how much it felt like he didn't want to help us. Music was a 3/10. They do not care about their customers.

Came in with a family of 4 (two adults and two kids) for brunch. I wouldn't say it's "kid friendly" as there isn't a kids menu, but there are items on the menu that kids can enjoy with, or without modifications. Its the West Loop, so you're stuck with street parking if you drive, but parking was ample at 11 am on a Sunday, but make sure you watch the street signs. The ambiance was okay. Its extremely dark in there, though I suppose that's the trend with the trendy restaurants, and the music was good, but pretty loud. There was a DJ, and the hostess had the nerve to try to sit us next to the booth and speakers.Service was fantastic, and the staff did a great job of explaining the drinks and dishes. Had the margarita flight, which was tasty (the ube flavor was the best), the churrolette, crumpets, chilaquiles, and the burger. All were DELICIOUS. I loved the addition of the pineapple salsa with the chilaquiles, as it added a sweet touch to a salty dish. I'm super bummed though because I wanted to try the French toast, but they were out (how???). Might go back again to try that, but maybe by myself, as with the food and drinks for four, I ended up spending $140. Totally worth it though.Parking: Street parking (free and paid) might have to walk, but you shouldn't have trouble finding a spotKid-friendliness: No kids menu, but there are options for kids to enjoy

We went to Tabu for my friend's birthday yesterday (March 30th 2024).Our waitress was awesome, I can't say anything about her. I was super excited as I really wanted the churros with Dulce de leche. I asked her if we could pick our sauce (the order comes 8). She said no which we were fine about it. The churros came and the first problem is that the dulce de leche did not come at all. I questioned her and she was apologizing about it and brought us 2 cups of Dulce de leche. That was not Dulce the leche. It was a white sauce, super watery, tasting nothing. We got really upset but none of us wanted to make a big deal since it was our friend's bday.Later on that day one of our girls message the group saying that she was throwing up and having diarrhea. We all said we were fine, but 2 hours later I started to have the same symptoms and I spent the night having watery diarrhea, throwing up, which are symptoms of food poisoning. Another fact: we were the only ones eating the exact same food (Cemitas Madame). This plate had duck, ham, egg and a few other things. My friend and I had the worst possible night.I am definitely never going back there.

This place is beautiful. The food is ok but could be better for the price, .$55 for 3-4 glasses of mimosas is a bit high. They also have a photographer come around and take pictures for $20 which is kinda cool.

Went there last night and the ambience/vibe is cute! The drinks were strong but the food was very mid. I had the Que-FC taco (fried chicken) and the tortilla was cold and the chicken was extremely tasteless. The sauce carried the little bit of flavor. Then my friend had the cornbread and it was dense, not warm and tasted like jiffy cornbread. It turns into a nightclub around 10:30 but I didn’t stay.Drinks: 3.5/5

I had a disappointing experience at this place when they unjustly kicked out my friend for racist reasons. Not only did this ruin our night, but it also showcased the establishment's lack of inclusivity and respect for patrons. I cannot support a place that condones such behavior. Avoid if you value equality and fair treatment.

I dont even want to give one star. We went there in a group and one of our friends was kicked out because some girl said he looked “creepy.” No one was drunk and we were ready for a nice night. We found out he was kicked out. We were definitely not part of the intended clientele but the bouncer kicked him out because he seemed to be alone just because he couldnt find his group of friends. We did not feel welcomed and we dont plan on ever returning. We definitely are super angry about this situation but left nicely. No one should ever have to feel this way. So unacceptable.

The food was good, but the service was terrible. I asked the waitress what the most popular drink was that was sweet, and she brought me a drink that almost seriously burnt my mouth it was so spicy I was coughing. The food took forever to come out and then at the end they have a girl take a bunch of pictures and parade you about buying them. So they took 30 minutes to get us our checks because they make her print out all the pictures and frame them before they even give you your check. And to top it all off as we are trying to finish up our “nice” dinner, strippers start walking around out of no where which was very uncomfortable for us because we came there for a “nice” dinner...not to club.
