Based on take out, called in order. Great tasting food with hearty portion size. Good customer service. Fair priced. Poor parking options, small indoor seating.

It was very good, prices are always kind of high in the city being from a Midwest ranch. Love it as always

Came here one day after work and just order a lot of different tacos and was happy with the size and taste of each. Service was great. But what I could not get over was how tasty and flavorable the ribeye taco was! That is one of the best tacos I have ever had. Period! That taco is worth a special trip. And trust me, because I've been..."All Around the World" song by Lisa Stansfield...for tacos.

The Veggie options here are the flavorfullest in the neighborhood! I love the inclusion of grilled onions and spinach. Everything is usually fresh and the salsas are a great accompaniment. Sometimes I think the staff is maybe stoned because the food gets a little sloppy. Today the wrap on the burrito was pretty loose, half the tortilla was soggy, and there was a hunk of something burnt and meaty in my veggie burrito (boo!! - not fun for a vegetarian) and I didn't enjoy those features at all. but I still ate the whole damn burrito because it was compelling in other delectable ways. It overall feels like happy people make the food, but they don't really give a hoot about the details.

So tired of them being cheap with salsa or not including it at all. We have ordered let's say 100 times from them in the past years, and it's always aggravating. We left a note tonight saying "don't include the side salad, but please may we have some extra salsa." They left the salads off (we are now paying full price for less, fine!), but included ZERO salsas. That means they read the notes, and decided to only follow part of it. What kind of mexican restaurant doesn't provide salsa? Happens all the time with taco max. Food is solid, fries are surprisingly great, and I love our local businesses, but I can't in good conscience recommend them. Look, I'd be happy to _pay_ for the salsa, but it's not on the menu. To boot, when I've bought the chips and pico de gallo, they won't put any complimentary salsa in the bag usually, so I can't have the varieties just the pico. Makes my wife and I super bummed out because for as sturdy as the food is, it's always missing something. So close, but for such great potential, they leave is hanging.

The generous portion of Lechon Encelbollado is welll seasoned, but not spicy. Their pico de gallo is always fresh! Chips and guac is good, Fast delivery for Saturday delivery. Great value meals.

Love their food. Cost is reasonable. Employees are courteous and explain anything on the menu if you ask. Restaurant and the facilities are clean. Close to my house. I love ❤️ to go there.

This makes me sad because I’ve been a big fan of Taco Max for a few years now. Their prices have pushed them into the not worth it range, the burrito is good but not worth the 11.99 they’re charging. By comparison in the same neighborhood you can get a comparable burrito for 7.99. For that reason I’m fading Taco Max. If it were just food in the equation they’d be higher

The food overall was good. However I ordered via phone for pick up only to arrive at home to find out my order in it’s entirety was not received. I returned to the restaurant with receipt in hand of what items were missing from my order leading to me being told that I was wrong and nothing was missing. The restaurant employee got an attitude and said that he personally packaged our food and he did not leave anything out. l’ve never personally experienced an situation where incompetence and arrogance were demonstrated so blissfully therefore I will not be returning to TacoMax.

I wish I could rate this place higher. Most taco places are hit or miss, sometimes the steak is good and well cooked sometimes its fatty and chewy. Every time I've gone to Taco Max their steak is from a perfect cut and it's cooked perfectly. They also have an option for regular cooked chicken or tinga(marinated) chicken. Marinated chicken might not be everyone's favorite because of the texture but I promise the flavor is amazing. Hands down my favorite Taco spot in Chicago or suburbs

Had the worst experience at Taco MaxThe watier name Daniel and the manager name Lupe(male) had the worst attitude !!! we came in and sat down as a family and right away Daniel the waiter is rolling his eyes as if he doesn’t like his job and didn’t wanna take care of us. And we were definitely trying to have a good time together as a whole family, we all order fast because we noticed the eye rolls but unfortunately they still made it the worse time for us and Daniel was hardly attending to our table and took forever to give us a receipt. And we asked for separate receipts but Daniel began to roll his eyes and huff and puff and became all cocky and giving remarks of “really” and being as if it was out of his way to do that for us and then we decided to pay all together to make it easier for him to give one receipt but then he over charged us at the end. And then we asked to speak with the manager and he was giving attitude and being dismissive like he didn’t wanna know what the problem was and just wanted us to leave. And then the manager also rolled his eyes as at us when we left. But While he was talking he was being real dismissive and I truly felt like they both didn’t wanna deal with women or even take our order and therefore had the worst time and I’ll never go again to what I believe is to be sexist restaurant with employees who don’t care how they treat people.

I’ve eaten from here a couple times and I really liked it. The recent times I’ve eaten from here hasn’t been good. The food tastes and looks like it’s made in a rush. They are super expensive and you’re not even getting quality. Spent $16 on chips and guac and a large drink. The guac was dark and watery and no salt whatsoever smh. Definitely not ordering again. Rather order from chipotle. Save your money people. Chipotle is better and asadero on montrose in Lincoln square.
