Super bogus a** place used to come years back wanted to try it again they charged me $10 for a dry flavorless gross carne asada it's a shame you went downhill people that come here probably are super local and don't like to drive cuz your food is terrible

Mostly good! i've been a few times where the Asada was slightly dry, but usually its pretty good. It does get pretty busy.

Stopped by at around 1PM on a Saturday and there were about 2 people in line. I ordered 2 soft tacos (1 asada, 1 al pastor). Both tacos were OK with fairly flavorful and tender meat. In terms of toppings, I was not a huge fan of the pile on cabbage and cheese. I realized that I prefer more onions/cilantro, salsa (can request on the side) or some sort of guacamole to supplement the flavor of the taco. Overall, it was a convenient pickup spot for my sister and I but I'm not sure if I would return, as I have some other taco spots that I frequent.

4.5 stars It has been a while since my last visit to Taco Del Rio but after trying it again, I remember why I enjoyed it so much! Fortunately there was only a short wait when we came on a Saturday evening around 6pm. Between five people, we shared a chicken quesadilla, carne asada fries, all meat burrito, and 10 special tacos, and a large horchata for roughly $60. No skimping on the meats or any of the toppings (cheese, guac, sour cream)! Our feast literally looked like a winter wonderland after all that added cheese and I'm not mad about it. My favorite of what we ordered was definitely the al pastor taco (special) - jam packed with flavor. I asked for the fries extra crispy so it wouldn't get soggy as fast which definitely worked out. However, be sure to ask for extra sauce since the middle parts of the fries were dry. Few outdoor tables available if you prefer to eat there. Definitely worth a visit!

Best burritos in town! Be sure to get there on time so you don't catch the line wrapped around the building. taco and fries are really good too!

I always forget to write a review here! This place has been here FOREVER. Living back at my parents, I'd wake up to this almost every other Sunday! This or banh mi. It's a bit of a drive for me, but it's worth!! I love their carne asada burrito, taco and fries! I always get extra onions and extra cabbage. I think this is the only place I know that gives cabbage in their burrito. Makes it more crunchy. Their meat is juicy as well! I like biting into a burrito and has a bit of juice from it. Yum! The wait sometimes can be long but they're quick about it! There's always parking! They have a parking lot for all the stores around. Customer service is always nice! Always smiling and welcoming even though they're trying to get everyone quickly. *CASH ONLY

So what is this? And what is that? Finally, I found at this hour by 2 pm "no long waiting line" in front of the road side eatery. I had drove by this place dozens of times on Azusa Ave and had seen it always crowded. I ordered one of the most popular carne asada and one beef tongue to end my curiosity. The server asked: how you want it? I said: I don't know, just everything on it. Wow,! Tasty! The tacos were covered with sprinkled threaded lettuce, cream, guacamole, and threaded cheese on top of carne asada and the beef tongue which was actually not much flavoring. I will come back on my next drive-by when there is no waiting line.

LOCATION: Located in a strip mall on S. Azusa Ave. You'll notice the hut-looking building and a long line of people as soon as you enter the plaza. PARKING: easy to find! THE WAIT: it took about 20-25 mins to order and get our food. HOW TO ORDER: it was my first time at this place, and I was kind of confused at the logistics of ordering because there were clusters of people everywhere. You order first and when the chef is assembling your order, he'll ask if you want toppings/add-ons on your item. Afterwards, he'll pass it to the person at the register, and you'll pay then. WHAT WE ORDERED: (1) Asada Tacos (4): The asada was dry, but it wasn't the worst taco I've ever had. I felt myself wishing I had hot sauce available while eating. (2) Asada Fries: I thought the fries were perfectly fried, but the ratio of sour cream to the rest of the other add-ons were unproportional. Too much sour cream and cheese, not enough carne asada or salsa/guacamole (3) Carnitas burrito: The carnitas were dry, but it was a decent burrito. MAIN TAKEAWAY: Overall, I was underwhelmed. This place was hyped up by my neighbor, but I thought it lacked flavor, and it was overall an average meal. The prices were also more on the expensive side, especially for it not being a conventional "restaurant."

Bomb Mexican food. Gotta get the tacos with everything on it. Burritos are delicious too but I would get it without the beans. This place is so good they don't need taco Tuesday deals. I rather pay the regular price here then pay $1 for taco Tuesday at other locations.

Overall, this is going to be a really great place to eat. It has everything that you want to eat. If you are in the lookout for something easy to grab, then this is going to be the place for you.

Great spot , my wife loved the burrito and she's always super picky she wouldn't shutup about how amazing her burrito was. I ordered the asada fries which was ALOT , it was simple and definitely in my top 5 asada fries. Best part is, it's close to my work. And the employees were amazing

Been coming here all my life as I live right down the street. Genuinely used to be my favorite spot to eat, however the past few years the quality of everything has gone done tremendously. The burritos have more beans than meat, the meat tastes off for some unexplained reason. Don't recommend anymore. Used to be a lot better.
