Tai Ho Yee Food Co in Chinatown is 🔥. I spent about $30 on a half-roast duck and a pound of their famous char siu pork. Duck skin was tender and juicy, and that pork? Sweet, smoky, melt-in-your-mouth, straight-up the best char siu in town. It’s cash-only & they close early, so roll through before 2PM. No frills, just killer BBQ.

I swung by their spot at 2422 S Wentworth Ave and copped half a roast duck for just $12—can't beat that deal anywhere else around here. The duck was fire: crispy skin, juicy meat, seasoned just right. Also grabbed some char siu pork, and let me tell ya, it was melt-in-your-mouth tender with that sweet, smoky kick. Dropped about $25 total and left stuffed. Heads up, it's cash only and they close early when they sell out, so plan accordingly.

It's not freshly chopped roast duck, I almost don't think so.

Best place in Chinatown to get Char siu (BBQ Pork). The meat is always tender and not too fatty.

Go in, bring cash, point at what you would like because there's a language barrier, and enjoy. The food is delicious and authentic.

Can't complain much about ~$10 for a pound of pretty solid honey BBQ pork. They are cash only so make sure to bring some.

A very good barbecue restaurant. My favorite is the roast duck, duck wings and duck feet. Cheap and plentiful. The location of his home is at the very back of Chinatown, so parking is very convenient. If you go after 12 o'clock, you probably won't have anything to eat, so if you go this morning, they will start busy cutting and chopping things at 7:30. The duck wings and duck feet are all freshly cooked. A large box is usually only $10, can feed several meals, and comes with pig ears. Have cash ready. If you want to buy between 11 and 12 o'clock, I personally recommend calling at 8 o'clock in the morning to reserve what you want, otherwise the trip will be in vain.

Don't worry about getting lost in here, you'll just get lost no matter what. But remember, you're here for the BBQ, and that BBQ may just be the best you've ever had. Remember to say "mmm goy" to thank them in Cantonese!
