We enjoyed the food here. Had the brisket over rice and was yum. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our toddler threw her plate and they were very understanding and helped cleaned the area. Looking forward to coming back here again soon.

Of course, we had to get the spicy Taiwanese beef noodle soup, which was super good. The beef was pretty tender and not overcooked, which tends to be my biggest qualm with beef noodle soups. We also ordered the fantuan, which had the delightful crunchy you tiao and the savory pork floss. Nice, casual dinner in Chinatown adjacent if you’re looking for the Taiwanese classics done well!

Eating at Taipei Cafe genuinely takes me back to Taiwan. The flavors feel authentic and familiar, and you can really tell care is put into the food. The bento boxes are amazing, with generous portions and a great variety, and the price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get.
