Was craving sushi and this was so close I stopped by. I check it out with my friend. We are so glad we checked it out. The location is inside a hotel and it's a small sushi bar. So you will have to look close to find it. The sushi came out great and the chefs are super nice. The service is top notch as they will treat you like family. The drinks are strong and tasty. I will be back for sure!

Wanted to try out a new sushi place in the area and ended up finding this. Didn't read up on it too much so at first I wasn't sure I was at the right place, but it's literally and single sushi bar with a little lounge area on the right side of hotel Felix lobby. The chef/host quickly made us a little table in the lounge and was very attentive throughout the whole dining experience. Ordered a few of the "basic" rolls and they were prepared to perfection. I doubt you could find anything better in the area considering the price point. Will definitely go back.

A little hard to find as it is tucked inside Hotel Felix but well worth the effort. The sushi was so fresh and beautifully prepared. Absolutely amazing!!!

We had the Philadelphia Roll, the Spicy Scallop Roll, and the Summer Roll. All three were wonderful. The service was attentive, the food was delicious, and the prices were great. No complaints. I plan to come back.

Delicious fresh sushi and reasonably priced. All fish options, so don't come here if you're not a sushi enthusiast. Lovely little spot, friendly sushi chefs, highly recommend!

This place is just fantastic!! Extremely talented Sushi chef serving up high quality and very fresh ingredients/fish. Definitely worth a try and then another and then another one .... you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended!!! Prices are great too.

I'm a sushi snob. I have very high standards for sushi. This place is decent but definitely did not blow me away or anything. I ordered a Boston and a Dragon roll. The dragon roll was better but not worth the $15. I would much rather pay a few dollars more at Tao for much better sushi!
Taketei is a small sushi restaurant inside the Felix hotel. Don't worry if the sushi bar is full, you can sit anywhere in the lobby and they will bring the food to you. There's only 2 people working. The sushi chef and the server. Customer service is a bit slow because of that but well worth the wait. The freshness of the food is pretty phenomenal. I was skeptical at first but literally everything on the menu was delicious! My only complaint is that the menu is limiting. Where's the chutoro, otoro, waygu, uni?! Hopefully one day they can expand to have more variety.

Chef Buya!!! His twists take you on a special culinary journey. If you're adventurous enough, let him choose your meal. You will not be disappointed! Grab a beer , relax and enjoy. His use of fresh herbs, delightful sauces, mixed with traditional techniques are impressive. Why aren't you eating here yet? Duck sushi! Pesto Salmon! Just go!

Omg where can I start. This tiny but amazing sushi place is located inside the Hotel Felix. I was staying there for 7 days (visiting Chicago on a work trip) & decide to try this sushi bar located in the hotel lobby. Besides sushi they serve a great selection of Japanese beer, Saki & whisky too. I was impressed with the ambiance, the food but most importantly the hospitality that the guys give you. They treat you as if they have known you for years. They produce the most delicious, freshest sushi you will ever taste. So if you find yourself in the River-North area don't forget to stop by & give them a try. You won't be disappointed!!

Great sushi spot. The fish was fresh and super flavorful. We ordered spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon, and sake nigiri. All of them delicious. The food came out super quick. The chefs working were amazing - super skilled with sushi making. Our rolls came out within 5 minutes of ordering. The prices are really reasonable too. If you get a chance to try it, definitely give it a shot.
