I ordered the sashimi set with rice and soup for $40. Some of the fish tasted great; the salmon, white tuna, and scallop. However, the others were pre-salted and tasted flat (not fresh). The vinegar rice was okay; it had a hint of spoiled taste to it. The miso soup was pretty good, but could use a bit more salt. Overall a mediocre experience compared to Lawrence Fish Market.

I love Takibi and have been coming here for a few years. Living right around the corner helps of course. It’s a small and simple yet quality restaurant and you can tell the owners are passionate about sushi and giving customers a good experience. The food is always so delicious and I love that they’re BYOB. It’s the best place for a date night and a bottle of wine or to take a couple of friends to catch up.

Great sushi. The Specialty Maki are creative and delicious and they have good vegetarian/vegan options. Really nice people too.

Such a hidden gem! Some of the most unique sushi rolls in the area. High quality and clearly made with love and care. I can't believe it took us so long to try this local RP spot. Will definitely be back!

I just discovered this place while looking for a sushi place to have lunch with a friend. We got the 4-6 pm salmon maki lunch special ($14) which included two different kinds of well-proportioned makis and it was awesome! It was simple but delicious because it was so fresh. Definitely coming back.

Amazing food, amazing service, amazing atmosphere. Truly my favorite sushi spot and no other place i’ve been to can even compare to Takibi. The chef/owner has an eye for detail and recognizes the importance of good service. The rolls are always amazing but the nigiri is deliciously paired with small toppings that complement the flavors perfectly. I haven’t tried any of the ramen, however, if it’s anything like the rest of the food, i’m sure it’s amazing.

Ramen was delicious. A different broth to the standard tonkatsu, but wonderfully rich tasting and the pork was plentiful and wonderfully marinated.

Haven’t ever dined in here, usually order takeout, but today’s experience was even tastier!! The sushi chef and server/sous were both wonderfully friendly and welcoming.
The sushi rolls were delicious and refreshingly cooling after a long day at the lakefront. Their spicy tuna roll is perfectly sauced, and the avocado is always creamy fresh and beautiful. Their miso soup tastes more chicken-y than I’m accustomed too, but it was actually quite good. We also ordered avocado and cucumber maki rolls, and a shrimp tempura roll that comes with sweet potatoes and veggies — so solid! And we tried their Korean beef bowl, which we could only take a few bites of because we ordered more food than we realized. Yay, leftovers!!

The sushi is sooo good. I usually don’t review places but a place like this deserves more attention. The fish is very fresh and you can tell from the taste. The rolls come with a lot of pieces and the pieces are larger than most places. The special rolls came with a salad and miso soup. This is the second time i’ve gotten the chefs choice nigiri and it was great. The staff are very nice and explained the menu well. The place itself is small but intimate, they played nice music and have a cozy vibe. Please give this place a try it’s a 10/10!

Amazing fish quality and customer service. Ramen is very fresh and properly seasoned broth. Chef choice is the best for nigiri. I would recommend every item on the menu. Never misses. Small area but food comes out quick. Highly recommend to visit. Only open for a couple of hours.

I love this place as much as I love my favorite things in the world. They have a great variety and always manages to execute on everything perfectly. They'll even do Philadelphia rolls even though I don't respect those who order it lol
PERFECT SPOT! (To me, and hopefully to you)
