We got to this out of the way location thanks to some friends and relatives of the owners. These are folks who lived in small towns in the countryside of Guerrero, Mexico ... where I lived & worked many, many years ago. This restaurant is well known to the latino community in general & to the people from their village in Mexico in particular. We were lucky to come when it was slack time. We heard from several people that sometimes, the line stretches out the door and down the street ... especially Sunday morning when the homemade atole drink and tamales are served. The warm welcome, low key Mexican decorations and very tasty food brought me back to the days when I was eating the same food in the Mexican villages. The enchiladas and tamales were scrumptious. If you go, tell them the 'doctorcito canadiense' sent you. Enjoy.

Not doing business here again. We placed a order online around 10am to pick up time at 11:30 and the store was closed! Why would a business take order online when they are not open? We were offered a refund and sorry for the inconvenience after 4 calls to restaurant and email. Update 1 week after never got refunded and never responded to second email about status of refund. They don’t care about their customers.

I ordered 13 dozen tamales for an event. The week of the event we called to confirm the pick up time since they had charged me already for the tamales. No one ever picked up the phone, the store was closed when we showed up to pick up and we were officially out $350 (which was over charged ). Do not trust this place.

I really love the tamales, the best I’ve ever had. But as of lately every time I decide to pull up, they’re closed. I pulled up today, they’re closed. That’s fine since it’s stated on this page. But there was a time I pulled up on a Thursday one week and the doors locked. Came the following day and they were still closed. Another week a random Wednesday, they were closed again. They need to update their operating hours because I’m going to ultimately stop coming period.
