I regularly order take out from here and when I dine in it’s always a great experience, staff is attentive and music is great. I typically enjoy the spicy ramen, it never fails to disappoint. One highlight is the fried gyoza, it is one of my favorites

First time here, ordered the Volcano ramen ($21) togo just to find out once I made it home that it’s missing the egg. Spoke to someone who offered me a free appetizer which is great but the reason I’m leaving the review is because the ramen is extremely underwhelming. It tastes like it’s watered down and bland. I never post reviews but wow, this is one of the worst bowls of ramen I’ve ever had. Store bought ramen has more flavor than this. I’m assuming they use some type of ramen base but either they’re not using enough or it’s poor quality. Not sure, either way I will not be back.

Got seated quickly. Service was fast. The pork cutlet was great, fresh and crispy. The ramen was ok. Noodles was cook fine. Broth could have been better. Portion sizes and toppings could have been more. Casual dining environment.

Just tried this place for the first time it was actually very yummy! The spicy pork Ramen was perfect I got level three spicy which is pretty decent
Actually the pork bun was one of the best things most places the pork bun is not that good but it had a marinated piece of pork with an extra mayo
If you come here you have to try the slushes ! The mango slush was amazing

As a native East Asian (South Korean), I can say this place serves the most authentic ramen in town. Most others taste more Americanized, but this one truly captures the real flavor. Highly recommended!

Does not answer the phone! Totally unacceptable. Put an order in through Uber eats and they refused to let the driver pick it up. Called non stop to try and talk to someone and they never picked up. Really disappointing, used to be our favorite neighborhood ramen.
Decided to stop by here for dinner tonight immediately upon walking in it was not a warm greeting. We were told away for a table to be cleaned. Once the table was cleaned. We were not given menus until we asked for them. The food was very bland and one asked about the broth I was informed that it was prepackaged so that is the reason for its non-seasoning. I will say that the appetizers were great. Just wish that the Ramen was more flavorful without having to add a ton of spice

I really wanted to like this place, but the experience was awful. The ramen had no flavor, the noodles were soggy, and the service was poor . What made it worse was how differently we were treated it felt uncomfortable and As a doctor I’ve been to so many places. And I don’t spend my black dollar we’re I’m not welcome To walk into an place once seat and to have to ask for a menu was a biggest slap to my face no one should have to experience that, especially when they’re just trying to enjoy a meal. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, because everyone deserves to be treated with respect. I will Never return nor My family.

BEST crab Rangoons in the city hands down. Crispy to the gods and filled with the most delectable cream cheese/scallion/crab filling. Insanely delicious stuff. The ramen hit the spotttt. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the broth caressed my every tastebud with love, spice, and comfort. The jammy egg was a 10/10 as well. Can’t recommend Tanaka Ramen & Izakaya enough. Plz plz do yourself a favor and make your way to Lincoln Park for your next Ramen feast!
