Love this spot! They just remodeled the inside of the Lincoln Park location and it is beautiful! The service is great and the food is the best part of course. My favorite is their lamb tikka masala. They also have some of the best biryani I've ever had! Cant recommend the samosa and paneer Pakora enough!

I don't consider Indian food to be in my normal routine but my wife made me go. I went with the award winning taco's and was really impressed. I would go back just for the taco's. Well worth it.

Foods great. Atmosphere is great. Service is great. What more can you ask for? Faraz and his team do a great job at making sure you're happy. Even my pup was jealous of the food!

We hadn't been to Tandoor Char House in several years, but I can promise our next visit will be much sooner! Our wonderful evening started the moment we walked inside and were warmly greeted by Rayshawn and Emmanuela as if we were old friends returning for a home-cooked meal. Once seated, both Arnold and Sonia took such good care of us! We started with the chaat fries, a perfect opener that is not to be missed. The tandoori chicken empanadas were both creative and delicious, and the accompanying tikka masala sauce raised them to the next level. Lucky for us, we took Arnold and Rayshawn's suggestion for ordering the lamb karhai; its rich, flavorful sauce and tender lamb were outstanding. Sonia simply could not have been more lovely, taking such personal delight in the high marks we gave to each dish as we completed them. Kudos to the entire front-of-house and kitchen staff - we can't wait to come back!

Chef Faraz is incredible! Best Indian food we've had... definitely a must try in Chicago!

Comfort food is the way to my heart, rice was perfectly cooked and naan really hit the spot but the best thing not in the picture was the lamb tacos. Wow just amazing. server made great recommendations for a 5 year old and it was quiet enough where we could hear each other and loud enough where we couldn't hear the next table. Small and homie you'll leave with your belly full and ready for a nap

Tandoor Char House is a spot worth visiting! When I have night classes, Tandoor is my go-to for food. As an office manager at the Chicago Real Estate Institute, my schedule can be busy, often keeping me working late. Thankfully, Tandoor Char House has become my go-to during those long nights. The food is consistently excellent, always satisfying with its flavors and spices. Not only is the cuisine top-notch, but the service is also fantastic. The staff members are friendly, accommodating, and always ensure a pleasant dining experience. Whether I'm craving their fusion tacos and burgers or other flavorful options, Tandoor Char House never disappoints. On pay day, I usually treat myself to their rib-eye, which is absolutely delicious!I've lost count of how many times I've dined here, and each visit leaves me wanting more. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day. Whether you're an office manager like myself at the Chicago Real Estate Institute or just someone looking for a dining experience, I highly recommend Tandoor Char House. Trust me; it's worth it!

I reviewed this place a few months back, and management contacted me to email them. I sent email and never received a response. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE ITS OVERCOOKED, And OVERPRICED . There are better indian/pakistani restaurants you can order from. The owner and chefs for this place should not be in business. Ban this place.

This food is MUY BUENO. Unique well prepared dishes. The one thing that got me was the unheard of spiciness in this universe. My friends and I thought we were some spicy high rollers and were ballin straight tears in this fine dining environment. We were like camels. AND THAT WAS MEDIUM. There's two more LEVELS of hotness: hot and SPICY. Turns out we weren't even in spicy land. Just some weenie hut junior baby sauce land I suppose. You ain't got no taste buds no more if you're eatin spicy. Really fantastic meal tho.

Love this place…The food is very consistent. Usually I order to go, but dining in has also been a nice experience (although the space is very compact). The staff is very polite and helpful.

Tandoor Char House was wonderful to work with for a catered event! The staff was amazing with our coordination needs, the food was properly packaged and labeled with our dietary restriction needs, and our students said it was the best meal we catered yet!

I’ve been here several times. If you’re ok with a small hole in the wall with literally one server but are also looking for one of the best Pakistani/Indian food you’ll ever eat…this is your place. I can’t stress enough how good ALL the food at this place is. And you’ll be surprised with how low your bill will be. BYOB too.

I ordered delivery for Restaurant Week. The samosa, butter chicken, lamb karai, and saag paneer lacked the intense masala flavorings one expects in a good curry. The saag had more tomato than saag, and the curries were a bit on the watery side. The wings were sweet and only three came in an order. It seems they cater to Western taste buds, but it's just not my preference. On a positive note, their mango cheesecake was delicious.

Ordered during restaurant week. Absolutely bland, watery and disgusting. I can understand they are trying to give the non indian people a bit of taste of India (just a hint) but my request to the owners is..please be transparent and call out loud and clear to Indian clients or people who want real taste of India, that - "hey, this is not what you are expecting in the name of Indian food. Please stay away and save your money!!"
