The servers were so nice and accommodating. The food was delicious and will be back soon! Great family restaurant to support in the neighborhood.
Dinner was really great. The food is amazing and very flavorful. The amount of food that you get for the price is outstanding. The owner even came out and greeted us and told us about our food and sauces, truly appreciated him doing that. The only downside was the service was a bit slow, it took about 15-20mins to receive our drinks.
It was the first time me and my family visited here. Food was excellent; service - impeccable and very intuitive. Atmosphere bery peaceful and friendly. Sophia (our waitress) was excellent and very friendly! Cheers to them and our many future returns!
This was our first real experience with Indian and Pakistani food and it was excellent all around. The food was great, the service and hospitality was outstanding, and the ambiance was very nice! I highly recommend the tasting menu for 2 if you are new to the cuisine like us, because the staff and owner do an excellent job of walking you through each course and adding another level to the experience!
Excellent food. Attentive and very friendly service, including a discussion with the chef. Also like their good works efforts.
We had a great time at Tandoor Char House. The service and food was delicious. Can't wait to come back.
The food was absolutely amazing! I think they were short staffed the day we came but nevertheless I had a great time :)
Omg Tandoors was even better than 2 weeks ago ! Simply ONE of the best Asian / Spanish /American food period ! Beef Nihari ,tandoori mixed grill, beef samosas and of course garlic/ cheese Naan ! and now they have a desert to die for I'll post a pic AMAZING The staff of this restaurant are Great ! Manager was on the premise cleaning serving and front desk staff just so damn nice !
Fantastic experience. Excellent food, excellent value, excellent service all around. Haven't been here in over ten years; had fantastic memories and they exceeded my expectations in every way. Cant wait to come back.
This was a first visit to Tandoor and it was a great choice! We don't normally travel out of our south Chicago bubble but made the trek to Lincoln Park to use a gift certificate. First of all, the welcome and service we received was outstanding. We felt like we had been invited to have dinner in a home. While we over-ordered, we were thrilled about our choices, and the leftovers that we enjoyed for several days. We started with the Chaat fries (think Arby's curly fries with Indian spices) and the Vegetable Samosas (Phenomenal). For mains we shared the Tandoor Mix Grill platter which came out sizzling and fresh to the table, as well as the Aloo Gobi, a vegetarian combo of potato, tomato, onion and cauliflower (WOW -- so, so good). There was also complimentary Padadum (thin lentil crackers) served with a variety of dipping condiments. We were warned that the Achar (a pickled Indian version of giardiniera) was hot but we didn't find it extreme. The cilantro chutney was delicious -- I would have taken a gallon of that home! A Masala sauce came with the vegetarian dish -- also excellent. And, though we didn't have room, we took home a servings of Gulab Jamun (mini donut holes soaked in a syrup) and Mango cheesecake. Both were amazing. We can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu items. PS Also tried a mango mojito mock tail - yum! Next time I'll get a Lassi PSS NAAN -- Don't forget the (garlic) Naan!

Amazing service, food, and experience. Can't wait to share this with my boys next time.
Wow, this unassuming family-run storefront is a real find. All the hits - naan, biryanis, butter chicken, chutneys, seekh kabob, tandoori grilled specialties, wings, a fantastic chicken empanada appetizer, aloo gobi, tasty kulfi for dessert. Friendly service. Highly recommend.
The experience was absolutely amazing! The owner was there the night my boyfriend and I had dinner and he talked about the history behind the recipes on the menu. The food was delicious, drinks were great, and ambience of the restaurant is perfect for any occasion. Will be back and definitely recommend anyone check this restaurant out.
Friendly staff on a busy night. The tasting menu for 2 easily could have fed 4. The quality of every dish was outstanding especially the tiki masala and lamb dishes.
Good food (and a lot of it) but extremely slow service. We sat for our 7:30 reservation, then it took an hour for us to get even our drink order taken and the salad from a pre fixed menu.
