My favorite restaurant since 2011. Everything they serve is delicious. The empanadas are the best in the city. The service and ambiance is second to none.

Tango Sur in Chicago is a hidden gem for Argentinian fare, particularly their steaks. The quality of the meat is superb – perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The service is equally impressive, with attentive staff who go the extra mile to ensure a memorable dining experience. Overall, Tango Sur is a great choice for a special occasion or a night out with friends who appreciate good food. Just keep in mind that it's BYOB.

Really love this place! The food is amazing. The meat is cooked perfectly. The service is quite fast... Maybe a bit lousy, tables are very close one to the other. But overall very good experience. BYOB is a Plus!

Honestly very pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere in here, candlelit. BYOB, very accommodating to large parties. This is an amazing spot for an excellent steak at relatively affordable prices.

Very attentive and huge plates. The flavors were sincerely Argentinian and it was lovely. Recommended to try the “lengua a la vinagreta de vaca”

Chicago's hidden gem! Such a cultural experience from the second you walk in you feel welcomed and know you're in good hands. They are family owned and operated! It's obvious they spend top dollar on their delicious menu and chefs. Well done!

The portions are HUGE here! My husband and I usually share the Filet and an appetizer. You can pay a split fee and get a second portion of salad. Everything from the bread to the appetizers to the filets/sides are AMAZING and such a steal for the price! The inside is dark and moody! They have candles on the table for mood lighting.

Last night, I went to Tango Sur with friends, and the experience was a mixed bag. The food was undoubtedly delicious – I had the filet mignon, and my girlfriend enjoyed the vacio. However, the trouble we faced in getting seated left a sour taste.Tango Sur doesn't take reservations, which is beyond my understanding in the modern life we live nowadays. We found ourselves waiting for nearly two hours from the moment our names were added to the host's notepad until we were finally seated. This was our second attempt to dine there; the first time, I couldn't bear the wait, and we ended up at an Asian restaurant a few blocks away. This time, despite driving a few miles and my complaints, my girlfriend insisted on staying. We found a nearby bar and had drinks while waiting, but I can't help but feel disrespected by such practices. It's disrespectful to patrons, their effort to get to the restaurant, and, most importantly, their time. When I stepped out to check on our table, I witnessed commotion outside Tango Sur, with people infuriated by the seating system and the over-an-hour wait. While the food was delicious, the service was just okay. My vegetarian friend didn't receive proper guidance from our server, who initially claimed there was only one vegetarian dish when, in fact, there were other options after further questioning.I don't intend for this to be a negative review, as the food was great. However, there are many other places in Chicago that take reservations, offer delicious fare with better service than what we encountered at Tango Sur. Until they institute a reservation system, I find it difficult for us to return, unfortunately.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are mostly saladsParking: Both times I went there, street parking was not easy to find

Had an 8:30 reservation. 35 minutes past our reservation time and still standing outside waiting.

If I can give this restaurant zero stars for professionalism I would. I made a reservation since last week for 8:30 p.m today. They had called me early this evening to confirm my reservation again. I got to the restaurant with my party before 8:30 and we were asked to wait at a restaurant/bar right next to them. I had called again at 9 and they had said they're very busy and have no open tables we would have to wait other half hour for a table to be ready . It's 9:51 p.m and still no text or call.
