Tanta Chicago Reviews
On Saturday July 20, 2024, we could have had the best dinner we have ever had in Chicago. Unfortunately, despite the most amazing food at Tanta/Chicago, which evoked my experiences in Lima’s Gaston & Astrid, La Mar, Panchita and Barra Calacha, it was quickly soured by the floor manager at Tanta/Chicago. He asked my girlfriend and I to vacate the table as we had been there for over 90 minutes!
Our reservation was for the rooftop at 6:15 pm to which we showed up promptly....read full review
Amazing atmosphere and great food and service. We had the signature #2 experience and it was awesome. We started with the Cebiche Nikkei and it was awesome. We had it with the Nigiri Anticuchero and the Empanada De Pollo and De Carne. Then had the Arroz Mariscos. The dessert was a nice Lucuma Tres Leches. Loved it. Thanks to our amazing server David.
Friendly service, good food and nice atmosphere

Tanta Chicago offers a delightful Peruvian dining experience with a lively and fun atmosphere. The restaurant features savory and flavorful food, including dishes like ceviche trio, pulpo, empanadas, Cebiches, Causa, and Anticuchon. The attentive staff ensures good service, and the bartender creates a welcoming environment. The restaurant is popular and often busy, so reservations are recommended. Generous portions and tasty cocktails, along with cultural insights, make for a memorable dining experience.
The menu has a lot of options, and the portions are great, allowing guests to share among a group. Customers have praised the food as spectacular and the service as great, with an all-around wonderful experience from start to finish. The ceviche limena, causa, chicken anticuchos, arroz chaufa, and lomo saltado are particularly popular dishes, though some have found the meat in the lomo saltado to be a bit tough. The Tiradito Apasionado, a ceviche ahi tuna with passion fruit sauce and pickled veggies, is also highly recommended.
