I’m so happy Tapicozza is just a block away from my apartment. When they first opened, I was thrilled to finally have a truly authentic Mexican spot nearby, and it has quickly become one of my favorites. Whenever friends come over and ask me what I want, I always tell them to grab a chicken torta or a few steak tacos from here.
This past Friday, I stopped in late because, well, the munchies hit me again lol. The restaurant was quiet and impressively clean, which made the whole experience feel even better. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which instantly put me at ease.
I ordered a chicken torta and a steak taco. The torta was packed with avocado, tomato, sour cream, and lettuce. It was fresh, juicy, and the bread was perfectly soft but toasted just right. The steak taco was simple but incredible with onions, cilantro, and their amazing homemade salsa verde sauce. The steak itself was cooked perfectly and full of flavor.
Everything is made fresh to order so it may take a little time, but it is worth it. If you’re in a hurry, you can always order ahead or grab it on UberEats.
The portions are generous too. The torta alone is huge, and even I had leftovers. Tapicozza is an absolute gem for anyone in the neighborhood. Highly recommend stopping by. You won’t be disappointed.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. Not only did they give me the wrong order, but when I tried to resolve the issue, the manager and staff were unbelievably rude and disrespectful. I explained the situation and asked for a refund, but they refused without offering any kind of solution. I was shocked at how unprofessional and dismissive they were, especially considering it was their mistake. I will not be returning and strongly advise others to avoid this place if you value good customer service.

Went here with 3 other friends around 11pm (where we each ordered different items), and *every* single item we got was amazing, which included carnitas, lengua, and steak. The lengua is probably the best I've ever had!
Highly recommend, especially because it's one of the few places in the area that serves food past 11pm

Horrible establishment that is scamming their customers. Received a completely incorrect order that was inedible and was refused a refund. Had to call multiple times everyday for a week and the manager still avoided speaking with me and refused a refund. Told me I would have to dispute it with my bank because his establishment gave me the wrong order. Do not reccomend going here at all.
