My favorite neighborhood place for Mexican food!!! I miss the food from Arizona and this place makes me feel like I’m there. I always get the chorizo quesadilla and split it with my boyfriend. He gets a burrito enchilada style and I get the cheese enchiladas. Such good salsa and excellent service. I really do love it here!

I recommend the tacos, the seven seas broths, the burritos are also delicious, the service is very good, the waitresses are very friendly and smiling and the food is completely delicious. The tacos al pastor and chicken Milanese are my favorites. And best of all, you can bring your own drink, beer, tequila, whatever you like the most.

We’ve lived around the corner from this place for years, it’s our favorite neighborhood restaurant. The service is always super fast and friendly, and they have the best horchata and al pastor in the city. We are moving to the south side tomorrow, but will definitely be making special trips back to Rogers Park just for taqueria el charro.

Ordered delivery from here on Sunday, and the food was mediocre at best. The Chips and Salsa had chips that looked to be premade and not in a restaurant. The Pico de Gallo was totally dry, something I've honestly never seen. The Carne Asada was diced into the tiniest pieces, which would have been fine had it not been flavorless.
The sope was also a weird texture.
Chicago has some of the best Mexican food outside of Mexico, so we do have high expectations. Won't be ordering from here again.
