I always give them the benefit of the doubt but everytime I take my food is horrible the rice is very hard and mixed with old cooked rice the beans are descent but the tacos of al pastor have so many hard pieces of meat inside of it like it’s cooked twice and mixed in there but after eating 2/3 tacos I feel disgusted because the meat hurts to go down my throat takes so long to digest and I sit with regret because I know they mix the good meat with old meat and same with the rice always disappointed I try giving them a chance but what a waste of money would only go there to have a drink! They definitely are one of my least favorites on the Northside I guess I will never order out from them again! Horrible job I feel like they do this purposely the guy in the back in just acting like a fool and a clown in the back making all these noises I’m lucky I’m still alive and haven’t choked on a splinter of wood from the way his pounding on that cutting board back there. Gives me the worse anxiety

Chicken tacos slap and this place keeps me going
I've been coming here for years, and it's always amazing! The food is authentic, the service is great, and the margaritas are the best.

The chicken tacos were dry and flavorless. The fish was a tad bit better but wouldn’t go back here again.

Three words - $2 Taco Tuesday. Came by on a Tuesday and got a Al Pastor and Pollo (Chicken Tinga) taco. Man these tacos were fat. Loaded to the brim with meat and veggies, and encased in a double lined corn tortilla to ensure it stays. Not much else to say except they were bomb. Both salsas were solid, although i wish they had a bit more heat to them. The inside is like your typical mom and pop Mexican cafe, perfect for a sit down with friends to enjoy some good food. It was busy and the food came out quick too. Staff was friendly and helpful. Don’t walk, run to come try these for a great deal.

This place to me is the very best place to go eat tacos. I live about 45 minutes from there, but i make the trip as often as i can cause they are that good.
The portions are very generous. The salsas are really good The waitress is very nice and fast at taking care of everyone, sometimes even El Primo waiters for you when needed. I was disappointed to know that those delicious spicy chips and beans are no longer provided while you wait, but I understand, times are hard.
The owner I've known always as Primo. He always and i mean always stops what he's doing to greet and say bye to EVERY SINGLE one of his customers. He understands that simplicity goes a long way if you do it from the heart. That alone makes me want to keep coming back. Keep up the good work, and ill see you soon!!

The alpastor was amazing!!!! Had a carne asada burrito, which was also very flavorful and big. It definitely had more meat than fillers. But the star of the show was definitely the alpastor taco. It was absolutely loaded and delicious!!! In hindsight I would had order 3 of them and called it a day!!!! Definitely recommend this place.
