Today, I was pretty let down by the dinner I got from Taqueria Varitas. The steak taco just didn't hit the mark; it really needed more seasoning to bring out its flavor. Plus, there was barely any cilantro and onion, which are usually key for that fresh and zesty kick. The rice on the side was just as disappointing, tasting quite bland and not really adding anything to the meal like I was expecting.
Small portion size for the price but the food is top notch authentic Mexican cuisine. Just plain delicious.
First night back in Chicago and the Carne Asada quesadilla, tortas, and tacos were delicious! Definitely stopping by again in the South Loop!
