The food was delicious and the server/cashier was so sweet. She let us take our time ordering and was nice to chat with. We got one of each taco plus rice and beans. The tortillas were very soft and delicious. My favorites were the al pastor (the best I’ve ever had) and the carne asada. I also really enjoyed the tripe, which was medium crispy, and I do not generally like tripe. The beans were very tasty as well. I would love to go back and try the tortas and a burrito. The server let us know that they have handmade tortillas on Tuesday, so we will definitely be back. I highly recommend!

My new favorite Mexican food restaurant in Chicago! Tuesday nights has homemade tortillas.

The atmosphere is pretty stale. The service is not very welcoming. The cook seemed bothered to have to cook. Very overpriced for what you get. The meat is good but my burrito being slammed on the counter by the cook was unprofessional and 18 dollars is ridiculous for something that size. 28.00 for a burrito and a side of rice and beans. No way. Rude people. Overpriced for flavor and quantity. I don’t see this place lasting too long unless they change their customer service. I was actually excited to go as I was recommended but very disappointed.
Great food run by great people. Burritos, tacos, tortas, tostadas - all great.

Good food just skip the tacos and order a burrito or a Platillo because their tacos are very poorly served barely any meat in the taco. They should think about serving mini tortillas to fill up the meat with the taco. You could eat five tacos and still be hungry.
While not the most exceptional in Chicago, the tacos are definitely above average.

Our film crew stopped in after a heavy production day. We’re glad we did, the food was delicious and the service was great too!

Staff is rude and I found hair in my food. Avoid this place and go down the street (or literally anywhere else) instead.
Don’t go there, stopped by for some tacos with my wife my tacos were literally 3 bites and on one of my wife’s tacos they put 3 tortillas to make a little fatter, definitely not worth your money $5 each taco is crazy overcharging the steak is not even premium steak, very disappointing for a taqueria
Best carne asada on the north side! Top 5 in all of Chicago for sure.
Legitimately one of the tastiest steak burritos I’ve ever had. Service was friendly and food came quick. It’s a relatively simple interior - but their food speaks for itself. Worth a trip to Avondale alone.
Recently remodeled, but food remains amazing as always. The owner is super friendly and inviting. A must try in Chicago.
