I tried the carne en su jugo and overall it was a good dish. Hearty and flavorful. The broth had a rich taste that tied everything together nicely. The only downsides for me were that the bacon came out a bit on the salty side, and the chunks of carne asada were chopped a little larger than I prefer. If the meat were cut smaller and the seasoning on the bacon balanced out, it would have been close to perfect. Still, it’s definitely worth trying if you’re looking for a flavorful and satisfying meal.

The food isn’t good as I remember it use to be. Honestly, the tacos de asada are by far the worse. They were so dry and chewy with such little taste. I’m honestly highly disappointed.

WOW I was a regular customer while I lived in Chicago, for years every time I visited the city it was a rule to visit this place, now almost 10 years later I return with all the enthusiasm and only to see that it no longer fills up like it used to before the lunch time, and that their star dish, the meat in its juice, is poorly seasoned, poor quality meat that is very tough among other things, with all the shame if I ever return to Chicago it will be off that list...
