I think this place has the best tacos I've ever had! Their chicken tacos are my favorite, hands down, but I've yet to order anything that wasn't absolutely delicious. Fantastic quality for the price, too. So if you find yourself in the area, absolutely make it a priority to stop by!

Rolled into Taqueria Ciudad Hidalgo for a weekday lunch—spent around $16 on three tacos (al pastor, lengua, asada) and a horchata. Tacos were seriously solid with fresh meat and killer salsas, but tortillas could've been warmer. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Love the neighborhood spot feel, but the seating area is tight and a bit basic. Still, perfect casual taco stop—I’ll be back!

Solid neighborhood taqueria in Rogers Park. Grabbed 3 tacos—al pastor, lengua, and asada—plus a horchata, all for around $14. Tacos were flavorful, especially the lengua, but tortillas could've been warmer. Service was friendly and quick. Great spot for a casual bite without breaking the bank.

Great little spot! Dined in and enjoyed the chips and salsa. Got the steak taco dinner which was only $11! Few places can beat that price and quality. Steak had a great crisp/char. Everything was fresh. Kitchen was clean and the woman working was super friendly. Will be added to my go-to rotation for sure.

Every time I call this restaurant I'm unsure if I'm calling a restaurant or someone's personal line because the lady just answers the phone by saying hello so I asked if this is the Taco restaurant to be sure I'm calling the right place she said said no and hung up,and I know I literally just called through Google to be sure I went back on Google and called again she picked up the phone and hung up again then I called back she didn't answer so I used my other number she picked up I asked to speak to a manager she just held the phone and didn't say anything as I was talking to her, she's very rude and unprofessional I will not be back and I actually like the tacos but she gives off racist vibes UPDATE* I CHECKED MY ONLINE BANK STATEMENT AND NOTICED I WAS CHARGED MORE THAN I SEEN ON THE RECEIPT 🧾 I SIGNED, I GUESS SHE JUST GAVE HERSELF A TIP BUT I WILL BE TALKING WITH MANAGEMENT TOMORROW I'M SURE THEY Don't CARE I'VE SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME LADY BEING RUDE TO CUSTOMER AND SHE'S STILL THERE BUT ONE THING FOR SURE THEY WILL BE REFUNDING ME MY MONEY BECAUSE I WOULD'VE NEVER GIVEN HER AN TIP FOR THE HORRIBLE SERVICE I RECEIVED
The lady that answers the phone is very unprofessional and rude she literally answers the phone like its her personal phone by just saying hello so I ask was this a taco restaurant she said no and hung up the phone then I called back she picked up the phone and hung up then I called back again no answer so I used my other # she picked up and I asked to speak to a manager she just held the phone and didn't say anything and this isn't her first time doing this check the reviews on Google then I went in to place my order and no I wasn't nice at all she was being rude so I returned the favor then I noticed on my bank statement I was charged 30.10 which the receipt 🧾 I signed said 25.08 I would've never giving her a tip after the way she treated me and I should press charges for her stealing from me

I have been going here with family for as long as I can remember. I can say with confidence this place has some of the best huaraches in Chicago. I love the big variety of toppings you can put on the huaraches. I am not a big fan of coffee but their coffee is delicious and a must try if you go in the morning.
