Was driving past and saw a Jamaican flag in the window so I turned around. Thank God I did the food is so good ya'll I had the lamb, spinach and mashed potatoes. I'm still outside the restaurant in my car posting this cause the food is gone already!! An amazing Shout out to the owner miss tanya and her staff a wealth of knowledge a true blessing. Also thank you to Mario from Goebbarts farms for serenading me with live music while I waited!!

I’m so happy we found this Jamaican restaurant, we’ve been looking in Chicago but haven’t found any we liked.However you must try Tas Eatery you will not be disappointed. I had the oxtails with rice and sweet plantains and a Jamaican beef pattie, mmmm ? As soon as you walk in you feel this great and relaxing atmosphere that you’ll enjoy they even have live music at times.. look at the website for any upcoming events. You can also host a private event, they have space…Last but not least the service from Tanya and Eula was exceptional!!! Love this place I will definitely be coming back!! This was my first time at this location and it was phenomenal. The ambiance feels inviting, warm, personal and touch of “home”. It felt like I was having lunch at my house. The food was very tasteful and well seasoned. I am one of those people that usually go with the “hamburger” or “chicken strips” because I am scared to try other foods. I ordered the red beans and rice with sausage and shrimp skewer. It was very delicious. The service was excellent.

We went for brunch I ordered her surf & turf yummmmy. My friend ordered the soup and another vegan entree.,MUST TRY the pineapple-ginger-lemonade beverage ? (definitely on the sweeter side) if you like sweet beverages. Otherwise BYOB alcoholic beverages cork charge.We’ve enjoyed her catering services and this was my third visit. Must try!!!

We dined at Tas Eatery this evening for an impromptu date night. It was a quiet atmosphere with Bob Marley lightly playing in the background (just what we needed after a long week). We were greeted by chef Tanya and her mom! Tanya and her mom were warm and welcoming. The food was excellent (Jerk chicken and yellow rice, and the surf and turf) and tasty… as well as the service.After our meal, we were toured for their beautiful event space capable of seating 60.I highly recommend dining here as a great alternative to all the endless Italian and pizza restaurants on Harlem!Lastly, it was nice to support a black owned restaurant with honestly good food.
