Popped into Tasa Coffee Roasters for a chill breakfast. I grabbed a latte and a house‑made breakfast sandwich. Nothing fancy, just honest coffee, real roasted‑in‑house beans, and a tender ciabatta sandwich. Place feels calm but alive, staff were super laid back and woke. Great for a solo sit‑down or quick “gimme one” trade. Humboldt Park never disappoints with its local flavor—solid neighborhood gem.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Stars

I visited Tasa for a Chicago Latina Chicas event, and it was an amazing experience!

Atmosphere & Space:
• Plenty of tables and seating, making it a great spot to sit and enjoy your coffee.
• In the back, they have a coffee mill (or corn mill?) display, which is a pretty cool touch!
• Kid-friendly? It depends on your little one. There’s not much for kids to do, so I’d say you can hang out for 5-10 minutes max unless your child enjoys quiet coffee shop settings.

Drinks & Food:
• The coffee? WOW. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5—strong, smooth, and well-balanced.
• I tried the latte, mocha, and matcha—all 5/5. Definitely recommend!
• Tamales? Incredible. Soft, flavorful, and a must-try. 5/5.

Merch & Pricing:
• They also sell merch, which is super cute—earthy tones, nothing too flashy, just minimal and stylish.
• Pricing is comparable to Starbucks, if not slightly more affordable. And to be honest… I think it’s better than Starbucks. Oops, I said it. 😉

Parking & Accessibility:
• Parking is the only downside. It’s on a main street, so finding a spot can be a hassle.

Final Verdict:

If you’re a coffee lover, Tasa is a must-visit. From the incredible coffee to the cozy ambiance and delicious tamales, this place is a hidden gem. Just be prepared for the parking challenge!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend!

It’s nice walking into Tasa and getting a warm “Hello”, the atmosphere is calm, clean and inviting. Unlike Starbucks, you aren’t walking into this cafe to pure chaos! People are in and out efficiently and dismissed with a pleasant goodbye. The food and drinks are amazing! I would definitely recommend to stop on by to try their delicious cold brew Horchata. But don’t be discourage, if you arent quite sure what to try the staff is very friendly and will definitely help you pick out some great options.

Wanted to support a small business since my friend said the coffee was good, But customer service was not there at all. My name didn’t pop up in your system because the lady didn’t even offer the rewards. My friend even asked what’s the rewards and she didn’t bother offering it to us. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go there again .
