This place is super classy, charming, beautiful, super clean and I am very, very specific about cleanliness and their bathroom was sparkling, including the walls. I love the furniture and I love the building itself with its old world charm. I love that the kitchen is behind a frosted glass panel of windows. I love it that they have a private room as well as two dining areas and a bar. We enjoyed the mac & cheese and wish there was more cheese in it, but we love the pasta itself. We also had the shrimp with grits and it was very good and everybody has their own taste, but we wished there were more grits to offset a lot of of the spices. But the best part of this dinner was that peanut butter mousse cake, and as you can see in the picture, the moose is all the way down to the floor of the plate so you’re not dealing with thick cake to fill up the dessert, but most of it is the mousse of the peanut butter and it’s light and fluffy and the little toffee bits in the chocolate and caramel and powdered sugar on the plate really added flavor to the whole dish. That was amazing. Award winning! There is no parking as this area definitely doesn’t have parking, but there is parking on the street if you’re lucky and you have to pay the Park Chicago app.

Very nice, inviting, classy atmosphere good for accommodating large groups such as ours! Everyone was very pleased with their food and drinks! We will definitely come back!

I am so obsessed with this place. Their cobb salad, deviled eggs, and red velvet cake are amazing. I’ve had several things on the menu and it’s always delicious!

We were greeted with a welcoming smile and seated in the library nook, which was charming! We ordered two Old Fashioned that were smooth! We were there for Restaurant week! Their menu had a choice of two salads, three entrees and two cupcakes. We each selected a salad, both delicious and beautiful presentation! The warm cornbread cartons were a nice touch! I enjoyed the salmon and my husband had the blacked catfish, both were perfect and delicious! We shared both the peanut butter chocolate cupcake and the key lime pie cupcake! It was a lovely experience! Looking forward to returning for happy hour they told us about!

Food is delicious , will recommend family and friends.
I’ve thought about the excellent meal I enjoyed at Taste 222 last week about a hundred times since. Stopped in on my way to the train after a day at the office ended early. I had the beet salad and truffle fries. Alex was great helping me decide and provided top-class service. The food was phenomenal and perfectly paired with the foggy geezer pale ale. Loved the ambience and vibe. Can’t wait to try more of the menu!

Consistently some of the best food, drinks and service our team experiences. We love Taste 222!!
The food came out hot and fresh. No complaints on anything we had. The drinks were strong and reasonably sized. The customer service was great and I’ll recommend this spot.

The food and drinks were very subpar. My burger was dry and I requested for it to be medium well. There were no condiments on the bun. My drink wasn't good either unfortunately. The service was good and the facility itself was nice and festive. However, it just isn't worth me revisiting unfortunately.

Food was fabulous! Steak Frites, cornbread and Creole Shrimp Salad were full of flavor! First time here and added it to one of my top five Chicago restaurants!
Great space for a late afternoon meeting/lunch. The staff was attentive and the food is always tasteful and filling. Kudos!
Excellent dining experience. Chef presents amazing food, delicate, amazing spice combinations. Combines Indian, Philippines,Spanish flavors. This place deservers a Michelin star rating. This is the 4 the time we have dined here over 3 years and it keeps getting better and better each time. Will continue to go.
Food is good my portion of the catfish was very small; Cheese grits was amazing! Waiters were short staff it appeared and we had to wait a while to be seated with reservation. Table was ready but staff was busy. The food did come out very fast.
The tasting menu is delicious and so creative! You definitely get what you pay for. This is my second time eating here and i left very full! I love the duck Numidian and chai, but all of the dishes are so unique and comforting! Good variety, too. Service is also excellent! A very unique dining experience!
