Sorry but place has a total identity crisis. The menu selections and prices are upscale but step inside and it’s a tacky sports bar vibe with string lights. Waitresses and hostesses seem very young and inexperienced. The TV volume was deafening beyond necessity, even for March Madness. The food, for the most part, was actually pretty good. Everyone seemed to like their meals. Unfortunately, the cost snd the atmosphere just don’t align and we all collectively agreed TOTP isn’t a place we’d need to return to again.

Never really had a good meal there, their menu is trying to do too much. Pair the menu down and do a few dishes well instead of trying to be everything to everyone. And THEN my family had an offensive racist experience with a bartender. Needless to say I will be spending my money at one of the other bars in the area instead.

Great service here, the bartenders are friendly, quick, and give good recommendations if you're not quite sure what you want. The bar is busy, but not too busy and has a great vibe!

Great food, great spot to see a familiar face. The owners are top notch and we had a fantastic waitress named Rita.

Went on a whim with a friend. Was pleasantly surprised at menu, attentive service and food quality. Would definitely recommend and will return to use the upper level terrace.

Have been here for both breakfast and dinner first time customer visiting in the area hoping to move locally. John owner is very kind and welcoming. Bob is extremely kind and constantly caring for his patrons. Tom and Jason were excellent bartenders. Very balanced drinks and nice establishment.
Read some reviews saying the Caesar salad is too “fishy?” For whoever posted that please understand that a Caesar salad is traditionally anchovy forward in flavor profile. The salad is excellent and correct and has high quality cheese 10/10. If you don’t like a traditional Italian Caesar salad you can go to Applebees in Hammond IN.

Set aside some time to look for parking - in this area of Edison Park, it's difficult to find a spot, especially during dinner time. Because we know the area, we parked in the neighborhood behind the playground (and it's FREE), and walked across it to get to the restaurant. I'm glad I was able to make a reservation at Tavern on the Point - upon our arrival, we saw cute glammed-up girls with their dads having dinner prior to their Father/Daughter Dance. Despite the busy-ness of the restaurant, the service was on point. Our server (Brandy..?) was very friendly, polite, and professional, and made sure to check up on me and my husband during our dinner. The ambience had a warm vibe with dim mood lighting, yet energetic with flat-screened TVs around the restaurant and a moderate noise level from the parties present. For drinks, I ordered a Moscow Mule and for him, an Old Fashioned. For eats, we ordered the brussel sprouts salad, the half-rack baby back ribs, and the short rib over penne (customized in place of the gnocchi); and for dessert, we had the raspberry cheesecake. I eliminated one star for the food due to the short-rib dryness and the cheesecake having a bit of a freezer-burn taste. Otherwise, our experience at this restaurant was very pleasant.

I love ordering from here because they make a great burger. However, they don’t read what I order. This isn’t the first time, but when I order, I always select “No Pickles” and make an addition comment saying “no pickles”, but they STILL put the pickle. I don’t know how to be more clear.
Edit: Just checked and also no bacon. Thanks for that too.

Top pick! Worthy of the price! Apps (Brussels sprouts & meatballs) were great; lamb & ribeye were out of this world delicious!! Raspberry cheesecake was good, but not as fantastic as dinner!

WORST PLACE EVER!!! Do not go here… right from the beginning we were told they were having a party so they told us to sit by the window so we won’t be rushed out ok we did .. but then they forgot my drink which my husband had to get up to remind them after 15 min passed by and yes they also forgot the kids food and never told us our server was gone for the day .. finally got food just to be asked shortly if we needed boxes well we just got our food .. they got our next drink wrong again but moved on like nothing and the kids table was asked if they needed boxes and if they were ready for check … and why do we keep coming up to the kids table to ask questions about the check? They acted like they didn’t know the table was with us… then they asked again if we were set and practically forced us to pay we still had full drinks and food on table .. so we payed.. we thought ok maybe we will have time then the owner comes goes to the kids table again and asks if they are done my husband got upset said you already told us 3 times and he said well we have a party and he said yes we know which is why we are sitting on this side . They basically rushed us out keep in mind we arrived at 4:00pm and left around 5:30 pm. This was very unfortunate because we had special visitors from Italy and we picked this place as an experience for drinks and appetizers and food for the kids which we still tipped despite the horrible experience.. I will never come back and would not recommend this place to anyone for a good time the food was not good at all and my drink also terrible.. go next door they will treat you better
Hosted a fundraiser there and it went off without a hitch! Food was absolutely amazing and the staff phenomenal.
It all started with the booking through Gina, it was seamless. She helped decide on food and packaging. The bar tenders were amazing and attentive.
Management was accommodating and helpful. I would definitely host upstairs again, maybe next time in the spring so we can take advantage of the outdoor deck.

Great neighborhood place. Awesome food and drinks. Our waitress Brooke was super cool and fun to chat with. Can't wait to go back again- the surf and turf burger is amazing.
