Absolutely abhorrent dining experience. Just complete disregard for hygeine, dirty cutlery and disposable paper plates. Missed out on couple of items in the order. Just avoid this place at any cost if you have any regard for hygiene or are expecting basic human courtesy and good food.
The chicken biryani was not fresh at all. It had barely any taste and was most definitely a day old or two and they just reheated and gave it to us. Along with that, the chicken was not cooked at all. You can see the red in the chicken and feel that it was uncooked when you tasted it.
Just now I go to the tawakkul restaurant with my family Not satisfied with the food. Too much bad smell in chicken fried rice my brother tell to the staff n they take it n given me new fried rice but unfortunately same thing like bad smell 🤮🤮 n we not eat n we leave food n left the restaurant n my brother talk to the owner n they didn't respond n the not listening my brother never came back again

Taste changed of tahari
I went at 2 PM when the restaurant was supposed to be open, but there was no food ready. We were told to sit elsewhere because they were “cleaning,” but nothing seemed clean or prepared. It honestly felt unprofessional—how can a place be open with no food and no proper setup? Disappointing and frustrating.
Firstly I want to say thank u for the best service ever and the price of meal is crazy 11$ only tbh they are doing very good job at this period of time hats off to the owner it self

Tawakkul Restaurant on Devon Avenue in Chicago is a gem for authentic South Asian cuisine. The food is flavorful and well-prepared, with their biryani and kebabs being standout dishes. The naan is always fresh, and their curries are rich and aromatic. The portions are generous, and the service is warm and welcoming. Highly recommend for a hearty meal!
