This place is an absolute gem. Although it’s in a mall setting, the place has been in business for like 51 years - starting at another location. I popped I while waiting for an appointment and the owner gave me some salsa and chips on the house. The chips were warm and the salsa made in house - incredible. I can’t wait to try other dishes. Good people, good vibes, and great food and drinks.

We had an excellent Valentine's Day dinner at Tecalitlan. Delicious dishes (queso fundido, asada & tampiquena) and great drinks! But what really blew us away was our server Francisco. Super attentive and personable, he made us feel right at home. We promise we'll be back paisano! (:

They're great if you dine in, but cashier staff is rude and unhelpful. Will tell you when somethings out of stock, but will not tell you your other options. Blame you for not mentioning that you wanted to order using a special, and overall very negative attitude. Love dining in! Will skip on any quick lunch orders if it means interactions with cashier staff.

I order this on uber eats way too much. The fajitas may be the best in Chicago.

Been getting food from here since when they were located on Chicago Ave. We did a catering order at the last minute. The taco bar was delicious and great value. Two types of meat, lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, cilantro and green and red salsa. Also ordered a half try of rice and the trio which a bag of chips and a 16oz each of pico de gallo and guacamole.

Came in for Taco Tuesday because the website advertises “2x1 tacos all day.” After ordering, I was told only certain tacos qualify — nowhere does it say that online or on the menu. I brought this up twice and staff didn’t care to address it at all. This is misleading advertising and a classic bait-and-switch. Won’t be back.

Great place to eat, prices a bit high, but where in Chicago can you out economically. Not even in McDonalds. But great food!

We decided to try this place since we were close by. We were surprised of how good the margaritas were! Ordering a pitcher was enough for 4 people and even though it was a bit pricey, they were great! Our family only had appetizers but the steak tacos were decent. Service was excellent.

Placed an order to be delivered. It was as anticipated that the order would take and hour to be delivered. Their tracker showed my order was processed, was on its way and would arrive in 5 minutes. When I checked on my order a few minutes later, the status was “cancelled”! No call. No explanation. After waiting an hour and being told it would arrive on 5 minutes, the status switched to “cancelled”. First and last time I will use them.

We stopped here for dinner with a group of six and all of our food was excellent. We appreciate the really fast service and very nice decor inside this restaurant. We had the three taco dinner as well as a side of guacamole and we had their signature fresh made margaritas on the rocks. The chicken tortilla soup was also really great! We definitely will be back.
