I accidentally ordered from Thai Basil a few months ago instead of my previous go-to Thai place, and it was such a happy accident. The drunken noodles and pad thai are both exactly what you want in Thai take-out-- chewy noodles, flavorful sauce, a fair portion of protein, and ready SO fast. I love that I can order this as I'm leaving work just 8 minutes away and it'll be ready when I get there, piping hot.
Best Thai food I've had in Chicago. Pad thai and drunken noodles both with tofu were wonderful.
Ordered food and it never came. Tried calling them and they never answered. Food might be good, guess I’ll never know!
This Thai Restaurant is good!!! Their Tom Yum taste amazing! The price is good too! Not expensive as what I thought it would be. We ordered green curry and it's a lot! It's very rich in taste, flavorful, and level 6 is just the right amount of spiciness!
Authentic Thai food so delicious. My family love this place especially my daughter. We dine in and also take out. Fresh and tasty. Please go and try. We order shrimp green curry, chicken curry, drunken noodle with beef, pad Thai tofu, egg roll, Thai custard, duck blood noodle.
Pad Thai was lacking tamarind flavor, at least it didn’t have that fake sweet ketchup flavor some restaurants have in their Pad Thai. and coconut shrimp was waaaaay over breaded. Ordered from Uber eats but wasn’t that impressed.
Great food and reasonable prices. my only suggestion would be to add Chicken Satay as a menu option. it's a crowd favorite.
Best Thai food I’ve had in the city! You can taste they They steam the rice traditional style, and the pad Thai and coconut shrimp are excellent. I got take out and had to drive a little ways to my destination but the food was packed so well it was still hot when u got there
The best crab fried rice in Chicago!!! Always fresh and favorite Thai takeout spot.
I have lived in the East Village neighborhood for the past year and this is my go to Thai spot. Their food is always fresh and delicious. Try to the pad Thai and orange chicken!!

I had Thai Basil for the first time about 2 months ago. The Tom Kha soup was delicious. Came back for more soup!! And the drunken noodles were amazing!
The food is super delicious and very rich with flavors. The pot stickers are very tasty and perfectly fried. The Paht Siew and Paht Thai noodle dish are super delicious. I tried the Tom Kha soup for the first time and it was super delicious and rich with flavor. The staff was super nice and kind. This is one of my favorite restaurants now.
Great Thai food! Friendly service!
Our go to takeout place! Absolutely fantastic every time with large portions!
Literally the worst Tom Kha I have ever had... no flavor, no spice, did not come with rice and I ordered it to go and they did not add any utensils. I will never return to this restaurant. Very very disappointing.
