Was in the area to visit the Museum of Post Punk and Industrial Music and had some time to kill. My wife chose this spot because of the many vegan and vegetarian options. I was impressed with the menu offerings and the food was terrific. Perfect for a couple of hungry travelers, such as we were. I had some pork tacos and my wife vegetable tacos; both were tasty. Very satisfying.

Terrible!...Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! This is what I get for not sticking to my norms. So I had been having somewhat of a day a said there's nothing like a good burrito to brighten my day. So now there's decision on from where. We all know that this is Chicago and there are sooo many good places to choose from. Being in the location that I'm in and did not want to deal with any rush hour traffic I chose to go Martinez in Bridgeport. Hey can't go wrong right? Right. As I'm headed there that there's this place down the street called El Taco Azteca. We'll the first red flag was the sign on the building was not the sign on Google Maps. So I say what the hay. Let's try them out. I'll just save time and say I apologize Martinez. I apologize Pilsen, and I apologize Little Village. I will never EVER go anywhere else but to my norms. There was nothing and I mean nothing Aztec about the food in there.

The tacos were delicious—very tasty, fresh, and just the right amount for a dinner (including black beans with guacamole, and a scoop of rice). The tortillas were made with red corn. I ordered vegetarian tacos that were made with roasted fingerling potatoes—innovative and very tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant for freshness, flavor, and a creative way of making traditional foods feel like something new.

I actually think this location deserves a zero. When I got there I could tell there was a party. I asked the lady if it was open to the public or closed for the party. She said oh you can sit over there. The table she pointed at was in the corner no way to get in but going through the party. Table was not clean. Used water cups and empty trays were on it. When I asked the lady to please clean it. She told me it was. I told her the table setting was not. And she continued to tell me it was and what did I want to do about it cause to her it was clean. I told her I would some where else. Just rude.

This is not your normal taco place. You need to try this. Normally I feel greasy with Mexican food. The sauce and flavor are well balanced! Meat is tender and flavorful! Service is awesome! And there is Vegan options!

This review is a long time coming. I ordered a taco dinner and was served what could be the worst tacos I have ever had in my life. The tacos had no flavor and the avocados were rotting. If you look closely, there are black spots all through them. Who would knowingly open rotting avocado, plate them and then sell the food? It was late when I ordered and didn't even feel like taking the food back so I basically paid to just not eat. Save your dollars and visit Super mercado Martinez instead of this place!

I don't know what happened to this place. I went to the original El Taco Azteca on Cermak for several years, it was always really good. Came here and got shrimp tacos and my girlfriend got the mushroom mole burrito. The shrimp was so overcooked it was dry and hard, served with raw cabbage mixed with guacamole?? The burrito had raw inedible kale stems in it, the mole was bad, and even the beans were flavorless. Not sure how that's possible when even using beans straight out of a can tastes OK.

I also went to Las Adelitas about 2 years ago as well, and it was good too. It has now rebranded as El Taco Azteca Bridgeport, not sure if it's the same owners as either. Anyway, I don't leave bad reviews often but with how much the meal cost I would hope it would be at least edible.
