Really great restaurant that has unique food choices that are an awesome change. We had the cheese curds as an appetizer and even my husband said they were best he ever had! I had the routine with brisket..soooo damn good and even the next day for breakfast....YUM!

I ordered the salmon yet to be delivered, and it was overly fatty, and the rounds of bread lit accompany. It were incredibly soggy with zero taste. Buyer beware for any kind of delivery at home, which is too bad because it's a lovely space.

The burger was good, and they offer plenty of alternatives. However, the service had major organizational issues, and this was with only three tables occupied. The place doesn’t really have a wow atmosphere, just a pub, although the outdoor area can be enjoyable on a pleasant night. I don’t think I’d come back.

Ordered the vegan birria tacos with no cheese to go and they were so good! The tacos were how quesabirria tacos would be. I would have liked more filling and onion and cilantro but they still were delicious as is. The consume was a bit on a thicker side and not so spicy but definitely flavorful. I didn't care for the corn side it was okay. Definitely would come back and order them again!

Still the best burger bar in the city. I’ve been coming here for 15 years, and it’s still as good as it’s ever been. The burgers are Pat LaFreida beef, and are always cooked perfectly, with inventive toppings. Amazing local and non-local tap beer selection, always changing. Great staff, very reasonably priced. People who know what they’re talking about go for Bapple.

My parents were in town visiting from southern Illinois and my dad is always sending me the best burger spots in the city articles. Knowing he loves burgers I decided to take him here to try out my local neighborhood spot. We got seated outside in the amazing patio space. Service was incredible and everyone was so kind. My dad was shocked with how well the food and he stated multiple times this is the best burger I have ever had period and he is shocked it's not on a list that he has seen.

Went there for first time. Loved it. While waiting for food I looked up best places to get good burgers. This place was not on the list. After I ate my meal I realized the Bad Apple should have been to the top of the list. Went there with my wife and my son's family. They all really liked it. My grandson got grilled cheese and he loved it..the fries were also very good. Employees were all super nice. WILL DEFINITELY go next time in Chicago

3 stars for the good beers but man this place used to have really good sides. Well nachos came with pork rinds which we didn't understand the name given to be synonymous with pork rinds but no problem, we were told it would be taken off. Come to find it was still on our bill.
The the three stars are for the good drinks. But the food has taken a hit in the last couple years.

This place was INCREDIBLE a few years ago - pre pandemic it was the best burger in the city. Ever since it changed ownership, mediocre at best. Embarrassed that I brought my friend here expecting the quality they were once known for. This place survives on its old reputation, not on the quality of its food, that is for sure.

Went for an earlier dinner. The server was ok to start but went downhill fast. Drinks did not get refilled, and he never checked on the table once the food was dropped. Had to flag down another employee just to get boxes and the check. The food was good. That is the only reason I may go back. However, service matters, and our server was not doing their job, I am not sure if it's worth it. Overall, the front of house has some work to do, but the kitchen was on point.
