The Beetle Bar and Grill

My coworkers and I hung out there after work. The atmosphere was relaxed and we could unwind after a long day. The food was very good! I had the pretzels with lemon chilli aioli. Tim, my server, introduced me to a DELICIOUS drink: cranberry and Coke❤️. Tim was efficient and kind and made sure we were all taken care of😊😊😊.

The Beetle Bar & Grill is a great choice for those looking for a neighborhood casual, friendly, and fun spot. Staff and bartenders provide friendly service, in a vibrant atmosphere. Didn't think much of food but did see some solid pub grub like poutine, a smoked salmon sammie and selection of tavern style pizza. The bar was crowded with patrons with open pool tables, stage area and patio seating. Had a half hour to kill so ordered up an Old Fashioned, Evan Williams with bitters and orange peel, was on the sweet side and not so strong. House wines are $9 with a handful of white or red to choose from. When in East Garfield Park, I'll have to return to The Beetle for happy hour M-F 4-6 pm and try out the selection of draft beers.

This place has many burgers, beers, and snacks. They are very kid friendly, in the summer it’s like a stroller valet outside, comforting for parents looking to eat, and have a casual beer. They also have kid options, and pizza. Their food is to be desired, burgers aren’t the best but the pizza is actually good (in a way). It does take a while for food and service but everyone is kind. They have a Photo Booth! Although the camera is a little on the wonky side, you really need to sit up which isn’t good for kids.

I’ve been here a few times, it’s definitely a neighborhood place, you can recognize people from the neighborhood, not a destination.

They often have a chicken Caesar salad wrap (CCSW) on their specials menu. It’s a little dry, doesn’t have much sauce, and over all okay.

It’s been around forever for a reason! The Beetle has seen me through multiple life stages including late night pool sessions with strangers to early dinners on the patio with my daughter. Solid bar food, daily specials, good drink selection, great service. A neighborhood staple, check it out!

I love The Beetle. It's a great neighborhood bar vibe with a patio in the summer, trivia on Mondays, waitstaff are always efficient and nice and there's always some folks playing pool at the pool table. Kitchen stays open later and has never let me down. The fried pickles & cheese curds are staples for my friends & I and, as a vegetarian, the Wild Shroom Pizza and Mushroom Bahn Mi are my go-to's. They make solid cocktails and have an above average beer selection with plenty of local options. On Friday and Saturday nights when there's DJ's, it can get a little loud but as long as you know that, it's all good.

Excellent food, great prices, good drink selection, and friendly staff! Great vibes all around. I left my bag there once with my wallet, keys, etc. The staff were so nice, helpful and communicative getting it back to me. 10/10 -- my favorite place in the neighborhood for drinks and food!

Nice chill spot. Was seat yourself on an early Friday night for an afterwords get together. Low key and exactly what needed to unwind from week.

Food was okay. Nothing standout but solid enough bar food. Decent drink selection but service was slow and inconsistent even though there were maybe 10 people in the entire restaurant. Additionally there were two kids running around, which whatever, except they were screaming and running back and forth around our table.
