The Chicago dogs are probably the worst I’ve had. Get something else. Bar service is ok

Beautiful little patio out front to have a cocktail and we ended up ordering an appetizer for our group. Waitress was nice and the gentleman out front helped us out getting a table was super friendly. Definitely would stop back again.

My native Chicagoan friend took me here. The Boss has had the same owner for over over 30 years, and he was sitting right out in front of the place when we walked up at 4 in the afternoon. He even remembered my friend from back in the day!
This bar is an established venue right downtown with great atmosphere and surroundings. A perfect place to have a drink or two and enjoy the company of friends.

Sit and drink! Not much else going on here when I was there. Just had some shots and went to the next spot. Clean bathrooms, door guys were friendly

They leave the garage doors open during the hottest days of the summer , thanks cheap owner , cheaping out on the air conditioning.
Not quite a Pool Bar, but a solid Bar With A Pool Table. Solid vibe, great traffic, good players.
Drinks are expensive enough to sting.
Pool costs $2/game for a fairly decent table, which works for the bar's target demographic.

I’m from Chicago, and I’ve been to a lot of bars in this city — but what happened here was completely out of line. I stepped outside for a smoke, and when I tried to go back in, a security guard ended up slapping me in the face — twice — over some words exchanged. I’m not exaggerating. I’ve filed a police report and plan to take legal action.
There’s no excuse for security to put hands on a customer like that. We go out to have a good time — not to get assaulted. It’s not what you expect at a bar that’s supposed to be a staple of River North.
If you’re thinking of stopping by — be careful. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Management needs to take this seriously.

2 stars because the bartenders were nice at least. The bouncers were doing WAY too much. My friend accidentally walked past them to get inside to look for me and the bouncer yelled at him and told him to go stand against a wall and “think about what you did”. My friend immediately apologized and tried to explain his confusion but the bouncer just kept interrupting him and telling him he doesn’t want to hear it. It was incredibly inappropriate and not to mention a humiliation tactic. The other bouncer wasn’t as bad but still not much better, they were rude and arrogant and clearly on a power trip.

We stopped for a drink around 7pm and it was a good experience. Service was fast. Workers were friendly and very quick to clean and pick up used glasses, cups and cans.

Asked for X, they poured me Y, then charged me for X. Sloppy.
Couple of the bartenders are really cool and nice, but the others are rude and instantly eject from conversation
