The Breakfast Club and Grill

We were looking for breakfast and found this small, typical American restaurant—not a chain, everything homemade. The food was good and plenty, though the taste could have been a bit better. However, the service and atmosphere were excellent!

Pretty basic and the food quality is pretty low. They were very nice though! Also, cash only with an ATM in 2025 is crazy. I get why they are doing it, but not the most convenient.

I've ordered food here many times, but today I just needed to use the ATM and they actually didn't let me because I "wasn't a customer". I will never give this place my business again.

Food was amazing. Service was a little slow and bland - constantly asking for water. Asked for sauce as well and they never brought it out. I completely understand they were very busy, but if the service was there this place would easily be a 5 star. Again, food is amazing, big portions and price is fair!

This was my first visit to chicago with friends & our first stop was to this place after driving for 8 hours. very unwelcoming customer service. the food was ok but the service and atmosphere that the workers gave to me and my people was very rude and nasty. i ordered a drink and was turned down because i didn’t have my ID (which was fine) but i took a sip of my boyfriends & a worker i’m assuming was the manager came over & told me i couldn’t do that but it was just the way he came over. & they have a no splitting checks rule? or were they being racist? would not recommend👎🏼

Cute clearly family owned spot. Cash only, but they have an ATM inside. Food was tasty, had the potato pancakes with chorizo. Bakery items were dry, but not terrible. Wait was long, took about 90 minutes.

Pancakes were good and the biscuit and gravy was very tasty (9/10). Weather was great so we sat outside. CASH ONLY.
