awesome place for a show!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually it is the Vic Theater
Classic place in Chicago
Terrible terrible terrible. Can’t see the movie because screen is too dark. Sound is muffled. The seats are uncomfortable. Bathrooms are dirty. Don’t see any reason to go here. Wait another week and you can see the movie at home.
Sadly, I was turned away from seeing a movie at this theater. After reading the reviews and attempting to call the front desk several times with no answer, my friend and I came to the consensus that the Brew and View allowed outside food into the theater. A couple of things led us to this idea with the first being that it says so on their Google Maps description and on their customer reviews (see below). Thus, we stopped by the always delicious Blaze pizza and grabbed a few pizzas before heading over to check in to our movie. Upon arrival, the man at the desk pointed to a crumpled up sign and told us that they no longer allowed outside food into the theater and that this policy had been changed 5 years ago. We looked at each other pondering what to do next when the front desk attendant offered to see if the manager would make an exception. We were grateful and hopeful that we would be permitted to enjoy our pizza during the near-empty 6:30 viewing of “Ready Player One.” We proceeded to watch the man engage in a 5 minute search for the manager where he walked up and down stairs, in and out of the building, and in and out of the theater looking for this mystery manager. After several minutes of this and many apologies, he informed us that we could eat our pizza outside of the theater doors, but not inside. We could have been finished with our pizza by the time this message was delivered. In summary, I was not impressed by this staff members customer service nor his problem solving abilities.
One of my favorite places to go!
Nice intimate place to relax and watch movies n have a drink less crowded a hidden gem in Chicago
Trying to ball on a budget? The Vic has movie showings during the week for $5. There’s plenty of seating room and a bar inside the building. The theater was built in 1912 and still holds a lot of its antique beauty. Cool spot.
I didnt realise this place was part of the old Vic .. duh! I came here for a couple of movies and I like the $5 entry fee the most haha. The theater is really lovely as well, and the best part is of course, that they add alcohol to your purchase. Not very expensive either, I got a hot chocolate with whiskey for $10. They dont take credit card for the movie tickets but they will for the alcohol, I think theres a minimum of 6-8$ purchase. I would come here again for sure!
Nice movie section.

Great!
I go here as much as I can to see movies at otherwise overly expensive fees out of my budget. the sound and the picture is great you can't get a better deal anywhere in the state of Illinois!!
Great place for a movie and a beer. I found sitting in the balcony view was just ok. The sound system is lacking as well. If you just want to see a cheap movie and have a Beer this is your place.
Fun spot to catch a flick
Amazing
