the decor is awesome!! but my drink was a little disappointing. i ordered an iced latte with easy oat milk, add cherry & almond syrup. i didn’t taste any syrups at all, it just tasted like a regular latte with no modifications. for $8 i feel like i should’ve been able to taste the syrups but it was too late for me to go back to ask if they would remake it for me by the time i tried it.
EDIT: the owner made it right so i’m really appreciative! will be back! 💕

I really love The Brewed. Interesting drinks, fun events, and the staff is beyond lovely. Shout out to Emily for being amazing and introducing me to The Brewed! I attended a wonderful Valentine's day screening of The Fly here, I love the Patch Nights hosted by Katie, they have wonderful horror/art markets every once and awhile. And there is fun horror memorabilia everywhere, along with the Bric-A-Brac store that is attached. It's always fun to wander in there and look at records and old toys! This is definitely my favorite coffee shop in Chicago. Places like this make it hard to ever want to go back to chain coffee spots again.

If a haunted house and a punk coffee shop had a beautiful, caffeinated baby—The Brewed would be it. 🖤☕️ Taxidermy, horror decor, killer coffee, and zero judgment. The vibes are spooky, the espresso is strong, and the staff is as cool as the decor. 10/10 would sip a latte next to a demon doll again.

Eclectic, local, and delicious. I wish this place was closer to me so I could stop by more often! I appreciate the inventive menu offerings, plus they nail the classics. While I haven’t gotten the cereal (yet!), it always sounds tempting.
