The Cabin is a delightful neighborhood bar, that’s a cut above in cleanliness and decor. Staff are friendly and safety-focused, and the regulars care about the space and its patrons as though it were a second home. The Cabin has created a real sense of Community. Highly

Really great place. We saw the owner run out and stop traffic at the crosswalk directly outside of the bar so a timid elderly local could safely cross to get her shopping done. The drinks were great and a great price. we even got a tour of the wild and wonderful decor. Definitely going back.

Walked into this place yesterday and they were in full beach theme with specials on drinks, sand on the floor, popcorn while you drink and a great vibe to boot

Love this place. The owner, Harry, is an absolute trip and the staff are really cool people. It has a super nice, relaxed vibe, and Harry decorates it so beautifully in the winter. My choir rehearses across the street on Fridays and we go to The Cabin after practice with some frequency - we always feel welcomed and enjoy being there. They have a side room which is also nice for small events.

don’t get me wrong it truly is a cute and cozy bar. everything is great besides this one very rude, disrespectful, and racist bartender by the name of “john”.dealt with this guy twice now.first time my boyfriend and i just wanted to go in one night after work to have a couple beers. keep in mind i was 8 months pregnant so i was NOT drinking nor going inside with any intention to drink. to begin with we had entered the bar and “john” was completely ignoring us and not attending us. my boyfriend had to go up and get his attention to order. he ordered a beer and for me a cranberry juice (non alcoholic). “john” asked for IDs and my boyfriend showed it to him without a problem. i had forgotten my ID but either way i was not ordering alcoholic beverages. “. john” started to be rude and telling us we had to leave for not showing IDs. We tried explaining that i was pregnant and was not even going to drink. on top of that we had just seen teens walk out of the bar. he told us IDs are required when entering a BAR. the bar sells food so it’s also a restaurant. he was being unnecessarily aggressive and disrespectful. we didn’t want any problems so decided to leave.today we went again trying to have a nice chill night. i’m currently 9 months pregnant and had my ID with me this time. we ordered same thing. it was going all too well, having a good time. then we noticed “john” was attentive with everyone else in the bar except for us and was pretty much avoiding us. when he finally got close to us my boyfriend ordered another beer for himself and then with the intention to start problems… “john” started mentioning our last visit and was demanding us to apologize. my boyfriend ignored his comment and politely asked him for another beer. simply bc we refused to apologize for something that was irrelevant now he told us he was done serving us and to leave the bar. we had every reason to get mad and felt completely discriminated. he started to raise his voice at us at the level for the whole bar able to hear him, started cursing at us, and kicking us out. we told him to call the police but he refused to do so because he knew he was passed too many drinks himself. this man completely ruined our night with how rude he was being. manager definitely needs to do something about it.

The cabin is a cozy bar in Old Irving Park. Don't mistake it with the frat bar in the gold coast. This bad boy is warm and filled with locals. They have limited food/snacks, but a good selection of beers and spirits. Private party room available for use.
