It was OK. We love staying at the Ritz and it just wasn't quite up to Ritz standards. The food was pretty good, mildly creative. But at least it was creative! Our waiter was good there seemed to be no hostess and maybe they were a little short staffed?

Overall this restaurant has an excellent and welcoming ambiance in particular and it's very different from other restaurants. The decor was very appealing and elegant. The food was okay and not too crazy. A little expensive on drinks. I was very shocked by that.

The two pairings of the Torali Burgers with Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Chateau Petit Freylon, respectively, were superb. All in all, a lunch with a wonderful ambience and conscientious service. Thank you.

Wonderful brunch experience! Delicious food, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be back. I'd start with dessert first as those far exceeded the quality and size of the appetizers and entrees.

We had a wonderful, delicious meal during Chicago Restaurant Week. We are locally from Chicago, and live on a tight budget. Restaurant Week provides an affordable way to enjoy fine dining. The staff was attentive and friendly and did not treat us any differently since we were ordering from the Restaurant Week menu. We enjoyed the experience fully and would go back for a special occasion.

I would like to give it 5 stars because the food and ambience deserves it. However, at $350 for two for dinner one expects flawless service. while there were no mix ups in orders or anything like that there were some gaps in service and at that price point service needs to be impeccable. We arrived at 430 for a 5 pm Christmas dinner reservation. We went to the bar across the lobby and had two excellent cocktails, an old fashioned and a manhattan. the drinks were 20 and 24 dollars but were well made and what one would expect at a 5 star Michigan Avenue hotel. We were seated promptly at 5 pm in a corner booth with plenty of room. We started the evening with the cheese board which one might think is expensive at $38 but well worth the cost with plenty of cheeses, grapes, fig jam, crackers and bread. We ordered a nice white Burgundy for $80, quite good and an excellent value. Next we had two appetizers, a Burrata cheese dish in a tomato sauce and the crab brushetta. Interesting but would pass next time. We then had the apple salad and lentil italian sausage soup. Both winners! For our entrees we had the lamb shank and the 12 oz sirloin. Both came with potatoes and vegetable. Unfortunately there was no room for dessert. The only glitch in service came after the soup/salad course and the main course. Our main entrees took about 20 minutes to come out and our wine glasses were not refilled promptly. Our server was excellent but seemed a little stretched over too many tables. I know it was a holiday but the restaurant needed more help. I recommend it highly and will return, not on a holiday. I look forward to visiting in the summer for the outdoor patio.

Great service, amazing food (very fresh and flavorful), and lovely surroundings. We really enjoyed our Christmas brunch. the only issue is the price was a bit high but that's to be expected at this hotel.

They have good food but unsatisfactory service. My group of 4 arrived and waited 10 minutes to have a waiter come to the table. We then waited 30 minutes to receive our drinks and 2 of them were in error. They brought one entree and a salad out 30” before the other entrees. The server was inattentive. I expressed my displeasure to the manager who gave an excuse that the server was tired. I do not appreciate her putting her managerial problems before me.

The intentions of the employees was good. It was very busy and they probably could have used more staff because I had to constantly ask for everything. I would not go back again for the food.

I ordered a delicious glass of red wine from Bordeaux and we enjoyed the burrata immensely (although it wasn't spicy). Husband the bolognese that brought us to our knees and I had the steak au poivre that had no peppercorns and was only gently seared. The vegetables were delicious. The best part of the meal was the spumoni tartufo. I'm dreaming of it right now.

We absolutely loved our visit! My husband had the steak and said it was delicious. I had the gnocchi. Wow!!! The flavors were so great! The best part?? The bread and pesto type dip before dinner. That was a star! Great ambiance and outstanding waiters! So good we went back for breakfast the next morning after staying at the ritz Carlton!

Our waiter was excellent. One entree (the ragu) was .excellent. The other (the carbonara) wasn't warm enough , like it had been sitting too long before being served. I'm sure it was just a one-off event. Other than that, the restaurant is kind of in an odd location in the lobby. Didn't really feel ‘intimate', if that's what you're going for. But all in all, a good experience.

I am a local and this was my first time dining at Torali. It was a bit noisy outside the restaurant but I was there during the holiday time and I expect it will usually be much quieter. The staff was very good. Our waiter was great and did not rush us at all. It was a very pleasant experience and I will be back. The food was delicious as well.

We had one of the best restaurant experiences in our lives due to the exceptional service from the hosts, the manager, the servers, and the busers. Truly felt blessed by this excellent staff. The food was delicious and the table was very well appointed. Highly recommend. 10/10.

We dined at Torali for breakfast and lunch on two separate occasions. The food and service were fabulous. The wait staff and management were most attentive and made us feel welcome and special.
