$5 cover for a DJ on a Saturday. This is a beautiful lounge and over several owners has seen some good cocktails, but if I have to listen to some rando's mix of house while I'm try to drink a Manhattan without grimacing you're gonna have to pay for the Manhattans. What is the cover for silence? Or Miles Davis on YouTube? I like to drink at the bar & tip 100%. I miss it.

A jazzy corner that leaves a little room for degenerates, like myself. Wonderful staff, always filled with beautiful people. The juice is worth the squeeze. Stop reading this and get a drink already!!

It was ok was there for a hourMusic was ok they charge 5 dollars to go inside plus 14 for the drink that I didn't like much but i spend that much had to drink it the bartender was kind of rude didn't feel him at all ...but like it was my first time maybe next time will be better we will see ...

This place was on POINT when it came to drinks, atmosphere, and music. The atmosphere felt equal parts refined and artsy. It has classic energy that has remained timelessness. The space brought out a client base with such diversity of age, gender, and identity. It felt very inclusive.
A classic old Chicago vibe. Took my son there to see his first gig. Staff, service & entertainment were top-notch. My son says: try the lemonade as it had just the right amount of lemon, sweet & ice.

It was the California Clipper until 1999 when Max Brumbach (original owner Of Smoke Daddy) bought it. Prior to that it was the Clipper Lounge. I worked there as bartender and manager and it was my call to name it the California Clipper so people would know it was on California plus it was the name of a poplular seaplane from way back. I don't know the place now so my stars are meaningless.
