This review is long overdue. My wife and I went to the Dearborn after our small wedding ceramony. It was only 4 of us, but thanks to my cousin and his amazing fiance we felt like royalty. My cousin and his fiance called ahead and told The Dearborn about the occasion and The Dearborn really made the day special. The service was amazing, food was delicious, and the atmosphere leveled up the experience. Great place, thank you for going above and beyond for us!!

Pricey for what they offer. Did was tasty, but very rich and heavy: too much cheese in sprouts dish, too much sauce in the burger.

Visited at lunch. The space is huge, but the lunch crowd had it packed. There was around a 30 minute wait time, but service was excellent. We had the fish and chips as well as the cubano sandwich. Portions were big and the food was pretty good. Our server was communicative and kind.

Monee is an excellent server. Fun personable and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was flavorful.and decadent. The atmosphere is moody with lower lighting, good place for conversation but I'd bring a date here too. I will recommend to friends and come back again soon

Great meal. Shrimp and grits very good. Had a little heat but wanted more flavor (bacon).

Burger was excellent. Beautiful bun (often overlooked), double patty and large portion of fresh cut fries.

Walking into The Dearborn feels like stepping into a stylish yet comfortable urban tavern right in the heart of the Loop — perfect for a relaxed lunch, a pre-theater dinner, or drinks with friends. The space has a lively buzz without being chaotic, with warm wood accents and a standout bar that make it easy to linger over a good meal and cocktail.

The menu leans into approachable, modern American fare with a bit of creative flair. I started with the buttery Parker House rolls — seriously worth it — and moved on to their fish & chips, which had a great crispy batter and hearty portion that didn’t skimp on quality. Other favorites I noticed around me — and ones I’d love to go back for — were the prosciutto & white cheddar croquettes, the hearty burger with perfectly cooked medium-rare beef, and the Meze Plate for a lighter shareable start.

The cocktails deserve a shout-out too — from classic Old Fashioneds to creatively crafted seasonal drinks, they pair well with both the food and the lively atmosphere. Service was friendly and polished without being stuffy, which made the whole experience feel welcoming whether you’re there for brunch, lunch, or dinner.

Overall, The Dearborn strikes a great balance between quality and comfort — it’s a solid pick if you’re looking for reliable, well-executed American dishes with a neighborhood vibe in the heart of Chicago’s downtown.
