If only I could leave 0 stars. My friend made birthday reservations for Saturday brunch and we showed up to locked doors.

This place scammed money off my debit card when I denied the charges because I was not let into an event do to some dress code that was changed by the security guard at the door trying to hustle me out of a 100$ to get in with a party of 15. They’re supposed to scan my tickets at the door to confirm you attended the event for what u paid. Since I was denied entry I denied payment they produced false documentation saying I attended and I didn’t. I may have to involve the police in this matter due to false documentation through Eventbrite.
If I could leave zero stars I would! Female security was very aggressive at the door. Charged me an extra $50 because I had on boots. I watched her check her phone as she laughed in my face as she received payment. Highly disrespectful and I will consider reporting this business to the BBB for unethical practices. I have never been this disrespected this much before in my life. Please do not go to this establishment.
Good turn up, but they gave away our section and put us in a corner because people who previously bought bottles (that were long gone) still lingered on the section. How do I reserve a specific section and magically it’s not available when I arrive? Because they oversold .

TLDR: SECURITY IS ILLEGALLY HUSTLING AND EXPLOITING PATRONS
Went to their NYE event that was $65 ticket per person, and spent another $30 cashapping security to NOT be kicked out when my friend hit a dab pen inside. Then the hothead security guard decided we were kicked out ANYWAY and when I demanded the money I sent back, he refused and had the female security guard physically remove me without a coat or purse in 18 degree weather. I have bruises on my arm from them grabbing me. Then the security outside lets me back in, just for the female officer to decide that I wasnt allowed back in and all my friends had to leave too. But as soon as we stepped outside, the female security guard told us we could pay $160 to get back inside, and ended up letting us back in for $80. SECURITY IS LOOKING TO MAKE MONEY OFF YOU. When I asked another security guard who the head guard was and told him what was going on when we were initially being told to send $30 for my friend hitting the pen, he said that that is the policy for the establishment and she can either pay the fine or she has to leave.

The vibes were lit. The bartender were one of the best I’ve seen.
⭐ 0/10 — Would Not Recommend for Any Sports Event
My group had reservations at The Dime Chicago for the Bears game and arrived before kickoff. Everything started off fine, but the night took a turn once the venue abruptly decided to transform into a nightclub — something we were never warned about when booking.
Despite having a reserved table, we were kicked out before the game even ended, while other tables around us were allowed to stay. The inconsistency alone was frustrating, but it got worse. The staff began converting the already poorly built booths into “sections” for bottle service. These setups looked unsafe, cheaply constructed, and honestly out of place for a venue that advertises itself as a sports bar.
The policies were even more baffling. If you’re in one of these makeshift “sections,” you’re apparently required to keep buying bottle service or you’ll be removed. The group that replaced us didn’t last long under those rules either — no surprise there.
The dress code and overall crowd were another red flag. Extremely revealing outfits on both men and women, face tattoos on a large portion of patrons — it felt like a completely different establishment than the one we walked into earlier in the evening. Not the vibe you expect when you come to watch a game.
Add in overpriced drinks, no in‑and‑out policy for a quick smoke, and management that seems more focused on flipping tables than providing a consistent or safe experience, and it’s hard to understand how this place is still operating the way it does.
The Dime completely missed the mark. If you’re looking for a place to actually watch a sporting event, this is absolutely not it. Management and staff could benefit from some basic training in restaurant and event operations. I won’t be returning.

Avoid at all cost, security does wayy too much. Front desk woman comes with an attitude. Different treatment towards white guests compared to black. Save yourself the harassment.
