Took my partner to Duck Inn last night to celebrate her birthday. She had never been before, and it did not disappoint.
We both had cocktails, she had the Tusk & Temper, I had the Grounded in Gold. Both were great, mine was like a delicious riff on the idea of turmeric milk. We then split the brussels sprouts, which are honestly my favorite thing on the menu, and the rotisserie duck dinner which is so good, and honestly a pretty great deal for the amount of food and effort.
Our server was a delight, funny, friendly, and walked my partner through things since she hadn't been before. As a treat, although we declined dessert, she surprised us with a free taste of the ricotta donuts for my partner's birthday and they were decadent and wonderful. As always, Duck Inn was a delight, it just feels good being there, and I was surprised by how affordable such a good meal can be!
Worth the trip, but get a reservation, it's also great to sit at the bar but it was predictably crowded there last night.

I wouldn’t recommend here. Way better restaurants in Chicago for the price. I paid $169 plus tip. The duck was very expensive. It had a lot of praise but it was underwhelming. Had little to no flavor, I couldn’t even taste any salt whatsoever. The quail was good and I enjoyed the experience, it’s just a one time eat though. Overall I would rate a the place 4/10 the food I had was edible but I wouldn’t go back, the vibe was very nice in the restaurant which makes me rate it as a 4/10.

Awesome experience. Service & Atmosphere were perfect. Food was really good overall with some dishes excellent and some were more 'good'. Duck wings and dogs and salad were awesome. Beef sandwich was good but there was an option of dry or wet, we choose dry but it comes sitting across a bowl of aus jus and half sandwich was wet. Dessert (Chocolate beignet) was mediocre.
Dietary restrictions: i wouldn't rush here as a vegetarian...best for people who enjoy meat...although the salad was very good
Kid-friendliness: kids welcome for sure though not a menu for them but plenty of good options

this was my first time checking this spot out and let me tell you, it was incredible all around.
The food (short ribs, brussels sprouts, korean fried chicken and crab dip) were all super quality and delicious. the Autumn kaleidoscope was also one of the most interesting and well made cocktails i’ve had in awhile. our server was extremely attentive, knowledgeable and gave excellent recommendations on menu items.
go check this place out, you will not regret it.

The Duck Inn is one of those hidden gems that every Chicagoan needs to hit up at least once. I went all in on their famous Duck Fat Dog ($12) and the Rotisserie Duck ($39)—both were unreal. The duck was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and packed with flavor. Cocktails were on point too—I had the Old Fashioned ($14), which was smooth and well-balanced. Spent around $75 total, and honestly, it was worth every penny. Great vibes, great food, and a true Bridgeport staple—highly recommend!

Tremendous experience all around at this amazing neighborhood restaurant with excellent dishes in a friendly and laid back atmosphere.
Literally everything was top notch, including the shrimp and grits, short rib Benedict, collard greens, duck wings, and duck bacon. We shared everything and had a wonderful time.
Service and staff are excellent too.
Can’t wait to go back and sit on the patio!

Had reservation for a Saturday night and it was our first time visiting.
Even with a reservation we had to wait just about 5 minutes cause that place was crazy packed!
Very worth it in the end and to be completely honest we’d return simply for the cocktails and the Duck Wings! The tusk and temper was to absolutely die for. We had something similar at our favorite restaurant in Pilsen. There they call that very similar drink a Mezcal Mule. Nonetheless the tusk and temper was amazing!
The duck wings tasted very closely to Mole. If you have ever had Mole you’d see the similarities. The really are something else.
We ordered the Rotisserie Duck to try it out since that’s their main dish. I enjoyed it and just be aware it’s salty as heck! Still very juicy, tender and perfect rotisserie to be quite frank. I understand the saltiness has a lot to do with the way they cook it and I absolutely have nothing against it. It’s amazing but just keep that in mind when ya order it.

Semi-Short redemption story:
My husband and I came here for our 5 year anniversary back in June, instead of our favorite Greek spot. Unfortunately, between a chaotic host situation, two underwhelming dishes and just a general unpleasant time (minus our bartender/server, he was awesome,) we decided to leave and head home.
Feeling unfulfilled in terms of the celebration, we felt the need to speak w management regarding our disappointment. To our pleasant surprise, they were very apologetic and offered us a special visit to make it right.
It took us a few months to finally partake, but we did come back.
I'm so thrilled to say that they went above and beyond to make it right. They took the time to ensure our experience was right this time and they did not disappoint.
Above the dinner experience, I'm mostly grateful to see a small company keep their word and care for customers like this. It's obvious they have heart and care about your experience.
Everything was delicious and great service and drinks.
Thanks again Duck Crew!!

The Duck Inn is a total vibe. If you're into trying something a little different, this place has you covered. I had their signature duck dishes, and honestly, I was blown away. The duck breast was cooked perfectly, tender on the inside with that crispy skin on the outside – so good. I paired it with a local beer, and the cocktail menu is on point too. The retro-inspired decor adds to the charm, making it feel like you’re in a cozy time machine. I spent about $30 for the duck and a drink, and it was totally worth every penny. Can’t wait to come back and try more!
