Oh boy! The fries are some of the best in the city. I had them topped with shaved prime rib, giardiniera and provolone. Outstanding! We had the rotisserie duck for our entree and my taste buds will be dreaming about it for a while. So good! Our server McKenzie was great as well! We'll be back soon

We visited for brunch just for them to be closed for a private party. There is no notice on their website or their schedule on google maps.
How could you close down for Sunday brunch without any sort of notice? We travelled here for nothing.

Came in thinking it was going to be a bit divey with a great hotdog; turned out to be an incredible cocktail bar and restaurant with some great vibes and service.
Everything we got from the apps, to the drinks, and the food was amazing. Was blown away by the duck fat hotdog, an absolute must try.
Combined with the tucked away location and cozy outdoor patio makes this place easily one of the best I've been to in the city.

Had an amazing experience, sat outside on a nice night. Apps were amazing, main courses, cocktails and even dessert were all delicious. I'm not going to lie I don't like duck and was apprehensive but it was all delicious. Probably the best French dip sandwich I've ever had too. 10/10

I hadn’t been back to The Duck Inn in about nine years—my last visit was actually my now-wife’s second date—and a friend recently brought me again. I’m so glad they did. I completely forgot how incredible this place is.
We were immediately impressed by how accommodating the staff was. Our server was warm, thoughtful, and clearly cared deeply about making the night special.
We tried a cocktail garnished with a single pickled quail egg—served perched on top of the drink—and it was a delightful, unexpected touch. Next came the gnocchi made with huitlacoche (that deliciously funky, fermented corn), and it was phenomenal—complex, earthy, and beautifully executed. And then the duck: rich, juicy, and with skin so utterly crisp and flavorful it stole the show.
This place fuses creativity and comfort in a way most restaurants can’t. The Duck Inn is an absolute gem—perfect whether it’s your first visit or you’re returning after a decade like I was. I’m already planning my next trip (and I won’t wait so long this time).

This is unpretentious Chicago at it's finest. Ordered food to go, had a drink at the bar while I waited. After experiencing the efficient but not hurried service, we will be back to dine in. Food was perfect to welcome my tired friends arriving after a long drive. The beef, dogs, salad, and fries were the taste of Chicago we all wanted.

The Duck Inn is a fantastic spot with a unique and creative menu. The duck dishes are the highlight—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The cocktails are also excellent and pair well with the food. The atmosphere is cozy with a retro-inspired vibe, making it a great place for a special night out. Service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall experience. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality and creativity make it worth it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Chicago!

The food is delicious with excellent service. The duck is the best I’ve ever had, and so are the hot dogs. The photo is of the quail - which is also very good. It can be extremely noisy in the dining room if people around you are loud - not the place for an intimate conversation.

Fine dining experience with a casual vibe. I had dinner at the Inn, ordering the signature rotisserie duck and the farmers salad. The salad was light and fresh with the most lovely tasting croutons. The rotisserie duck was delicious, flavorful, and very tender, enough for 2. Jon was my server. He has a pleasant personality, is a great guide to the menu, and provided excellent service. I'm from out of town, but I hope I am able to visit again on a future trip to try some of the other dishes. Peaking at other tables, it all looked good!
