The ambience is nice, busy but not overcrowded or too loud. The food was good, though slightly higher pricing for some of the menu items which are fairly basic and relatively small portions. The duck wings are a very small portion. The cheese curds and decent beef were great. I didn't enjoy the fries much, they were a little overcooked for my taste. The weekday specials menu had some good items on it, but is not available every day. The staff were friendly, if not a little overbearing. I recommend making a reservation, though bar seating is available on a first-come first-served basis. In the summer they have a pleasant outdoor patio.

The location is outside of the downtown area, closer to Chinatown. We came on a Friday night so the restaurant was packed and buzzing. We were seated right away. The menu is rather limited, we were disappointed we couldn't order a half order of the rotisserie duck since it was just the two of us. We decided on the BBQ duck wings which are yummy and saucy. The Brussels sprouts are unique and tasty, with the brown butter crumble setting it apart. The Foie gras terrine is excellent, complemented by brioche and black currants sauce. The wagyu pappardelle is very good, the beef tongue ragu works so well with the al dente pasta. The duck Inn dog has the heart snap to it and amazing relish, the best Chicago dog we've had. The passion fruit lassi cocktail is wonderful.

Rotisserie duck was excellent and so was the service. Also, unique cocktails and great pinot noir that pairs perfectly with the duck.

I know it says hot dog, but GET IT! Along with the duck wings, shrimp & grits, biscuit, and don't forget to ask for The Tom (not on the menu: spiced pomegranate juice with Wild Turkey).

Absolutely delicious!! Can't wait to come back
Everything is simply amazing. The fries, whole duck, and brussel sprouts are my top recommendations, but I don't think you can go wrong. Both cocktails and mocktails were fantastic. Go here.

The rotisserie duck and foie at the duck inn was exquisite. We paired it with a Pinot noir and it was wonderful match.
Great atmosphere and knowledgeable service from Mark. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The Duck Inn is a Chicago gem. We've been twice for brunch and planning for dinner next visit. Great food service and atmopshere, with a beautiful back patio during the warmer months.
Just super cool all around!

Went to try it out with friends to celebrate a birthday. Food was delicious yes, it was a bit shy of the hype. Although the burgers, and servings were not as small as expected it was still expensive. All in all a fairly good experience but not some place I’d visit too often due to my budgeting.

Okay food was absolutely horrendous. The duck had to go to the dog. Other than being so absolutely chewey. It came 1.5 hours late. During which we were able to flag the waiter down to order drinks. He came to check on us twice in 1.5 hours … the duck came cold and chewey. The apps wer ordered were fine but also came late.
Ya 4/10. Aaaand it was so expensive for no reason.

Duck Inn is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Kevin is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Great Rotisserie duck. Must come back. 10/10.
