The truffle mozzarella sticks are delicious! Totally worth it, hence the 3 stars. I was disappointed when I ordered the chicken parmesan and got fried chicken with cheese on top. Chicken Parm and fried chicken are not the same thing!

The duplex was a good experience! We dined at 11a and I would recommend reserving at the time or 11:30a. The DJ seemed to start around 12p, and it got super busy after that. The mimosas were good they give you a bottle that stays at the table and they replace the bottle. The lobster roll was an extra $10 (didn’t see on the site), but my cousin really liked it. I got the shrimp and grits which were okay, somewhat of a medium portion.
Josh was our server and seemed to serve most of the tables at the restaurant during Sunday brunch. He was very attentive to every table and is such a hard working! He did everything with a smile and was very welcoming to everyone. I would come back in hopes to be seated with him because it’s so hard to find a great server like him in a busy brunch setting. Even tho it was pre paid he still went the extra mile to make sure our party was taken care of and we appreciated that!

Came for a Love Island watch party on a Thursday. There were only two TVs, which would’ve been fine, but the speakers weren’t loud enough to hear over the usual crowd noise. The staff tried to purchase the show to stream it, but after multiple failed attempts, someone from the crowd ended up AirPlaying it from their phone (hope their meal was comped!).
Even with a reservation, we waited about 15 minutes before a host appeared to seat us. There was a line behind us. When the host finally arrived, she told us booths were reserved for parties of 4 or more—even though a party of 2 was already sitting at one. When I asked if we could sit there too, she said no.
Now, our waiter Gino was amazing. Super attentive, made sure we were good the whole time, and had great menu recommendations. The meatballs and sliders was the perfect girl dinner a woman can ask for! If I were rating this solely on Gino’s service, it’d be a 5. But the wait time and lack of communication around the wait and tv set up, brought the overall experience down.

Make sure you reserve a table. We walked in & signed up for the 30 min wait list. But people were reserving a table online last minute & were able to skip us. What was a 30 min wait turned into over 1hr. The waitress knew this was happening & shrugged us off. The music, food and drinks are good. My waiter was awesome. Fast & attentive. It was my bday so we took a shot lol

Was so excited when I first walked in and saw the melanin and outfits! We definitely caught a vibe with the music; the dj was great. Unfortunately we were met with terrible service and an unhelpful manager. Our drinks took over 45 minutes to come out and our food took over an hour. My friend ordered the shrimp and grits and it to get sent back to the kitchen twice for various reasons but including improperly deveined shrimp. Again the atmosphere was amazing but coupled with the service and management made for an unpleasant experience. We won’t be coming back any time soon.

This place is overrated my first time there 6/21/2025 menu is not fulfilling I was looking for a more brunch style menu The wings is bland fried naked wings and not whole wings the party wings music was good a little too loud mimosas was good but food wise naw I won’t be going back and the service was okay bill for 4 people $217 including the 20% gratuities 3 of us had wings and fries and 1 person had wings and shrimp and grits I drove a hr to eat bland wings because nothing else on menu was appealing Il keep going to Redstar it’s closer and there brunch menu and food is off the chain sorry.

So. This was a bit ago and the food was all over the place. Great reviews on Instagram for the brunch. Music and drinks was popping. With that, my friend decided she wanted us to go for dinner. Really nice looking restaurant. It was a bit empty but we went right after work to get there early and miss the crowd. The waitress, Deb/Debbie, was great. She was very patient with me and my super annoyed friend. We asked to sit at a six top by the patio doors and was denied. Instead we sat at a booth. It was Friday night and it never got busy. The six top we were denied stayed empty our entire meal. We only got one drink each and they were super yummy and extra strong. The salad was fresh and dressed with all of the fixings. It was delicious. The wings were fried to perfection but there was not one lick of seasoning on them. There were also no salt and pepper shakers at the tables. We had to ask for salt and pepper. It took forever to get even though it was not busy. And once we were done they were taken away immediately. Since the wings are usually tossed in the sauces they don't add salt and pepper. Ordered the truffle beurre blanc branzino and there was no truffle burre blanc. It also came with the side salad, hardly any fixings, that was very blah. It should have came with some type of asparagus or mashed potato. The whip cheesecake did not come as advertised. And it was missing the croissant flakes. There was never any communication after ordering that there would be missing elements in our meal so that we could possibly order something else. We talked to the manager that evening and he removed the charge for the whipped cheesecake dessert.
The brunch might be popping but the dinner is not that hot. It was just as empty as it was when we got there when we left. Every other restaurant around Duplex was popping inside and outside on the patios. Hopefully they made some changes to their dinner.

From the moment we arrived, the staff rushed us through the entire meal despite the resturant being empty when we arrived. They even removed my drink from the table before I had finished it.
To make matters worse, we were informed just five minutes before 9 PM that the restaurant was closing for a private event and we needed to leave. My friends had planned to ask for a birthday dessert, and instead of celebrating the moment, the manager handed me a dessert in a to-go box as I was leaving. The lack of care and thoughtfulness in their approach was disheartening.
I spoke to the manager to express my disappointment, and his only response was, “If you come in again, we’ll make it up to you.” However, it felt like an empty gesture since he didn’t take my name or any details to follow through on his promise.
This experience was a stark contrast to what I’ve come to expect from Duplex. It left me feeling disappointed and undervalued, especially on what should have been a special evening.
