A Chicago classic. It's the best dive bar live music venue in the city. Open since 1993, and legit as hell. Almost no type of music is off limits - they book lots of good weird stuff. And they have their own cat, Peg, if you're lucky enough to see her. Very friendly staff.
I've only been to the Empty Bottle one time, but it was a decent little place.
It's certainly a dive bar.
I thought the audio was terrible however. If I go there again I'll try another location, maybe that'll help?

This place is just fantastic. Great concerts of all kinds, especially punk rock concerts. Plenty of free parking right on Western Avenue. I parked right in front of the bar last night.
