i have been a regular customer since your opening friends and family event, but brought 3 friends who were unfamiliar with the restaurant. all three were enthusiastic about their meals and repeatedly assured me that they would be back. they also loved the atmosphere -- (who doesn't?). paige's service was perfect. thank you.
This is an awesome bar. I would definitely hang out there whenever in town. Upscale yet charming. Great for friends and date night. I'd give it a 5 Star rating for service, location, good vibes etc, however, in my opinion the food list is limited. Good food but not much variety
A similar menu and vibe as the former restaurant, Bandera's. Good overall experience. I miss the piano playing lightly in the background.
This is the third time I have been here and really enjoy the setting, the variety of food on the menu- something for everyone. This is the second time I ordered the prime rib dip and it's so good. The service here is great too. Highly recommend it and will come back when back in Chicago
My friend and I enjoyed a leisurely lunch, starting with yummy cocktails - an espresso martini and one of their seasonal drink specials, the Cider & Sage. For our entrees, we both had The Evie Salad with grilled chicken. It was delicious, and includes marcona almonds, dates, corn, tomatoes, cornbread croutons, goat cheese, pepitas and maple sherry vinaigrette. The chicken is served on the side, sliced, and grilled to perfection. The salad was a good portion, but not overwhelming. We both really enjoyed our food and drink, our server was great, and our table had a great view overlooking Michigan Ave. A wonderful dining experience!
I have dined here many times and when my server came to my table she said I remember you and I remembered her as well! It's always a positive experience dining here.
Weeknight dinner was great - server was very attentive, and orders for drinks and food came up quite quickly. We had grilled artichokes (rare on local menu), sushi, salmon and carrots. All were well prepared and tasty. We will return again when on the Mag Mile!
We had a 7 person business lunch. The food was outstanding, loved the vibe here. It was busy as it was a weekend but the server took good care of us.
This was our first dining experience. We did eat at the bar as we were pressed for time. The roasted artichoke was excellent, the whitefish moist and the sushi fresh tasting. The bar staff and the servers were all friendly and accommodating.
Super choice of downtown. Just a pet peeve of mine in that when I make a reservation for two people at 8pm and we arrive on time we should be sat at 8pm or 8:05pm not 8:15pm especially when we were the only people waiting for a table. Server was excellent extremely kind, timely service otherwise and excellent drinks. Could do without the “service charge” but I've gotten accustomed to it.

The birthday dinner was truly memorable. From the warm welcome to the heartfelt goodbyes, everyone made the evening special, and the delicious food only added to the joyous atmosphere.
Evie has much improved the cuisine since opening. The service was friendly but missed some steps of service: brought entrees while finishing salads. The check backs at the begining were constant then dropped. The bartender is friendly but walked away while I was telling her something. I guess we are just moving people along. Although food is very good, the staff need some polishing.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Evie, and I must say, the experience was fantastic, primarily due to our server, Glenn. From the moment we arrived, Glenn greeted us with a warm smile and an infectious enthusiasm that set the tone for the evening. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, offering thoughtful recommendations that truly enhanced our meal. Glenn checked in on us just the right amount, ensuring our drinks were never empty and that all of our needs were met without being intrusive. The atmosphere of Evie was delightful, but it was Glenn's attentiveness and genuine care for his customers that elevated the experience to another level. He made us feel valued and welcomed. Overall, I highly recommend Evie for its excellent food and even better service, thanks to Glenn. If you want a memorable dining experience, be sure to ask for him!
We got lucky stumbling across this place near the Gwen. Loved it so much we visited 2 nights in a row. Will go again next time in town.
Don't sleep on The Evie! We could do no wrong with everything we ordered. Plus the service was some of the best on our trip to Chicago.
