Cute little dive bar. I dropped in after getting my nails done across the street.

Slow bartenders, weirdly mean and rude host.

This place has Schlitz on tap! That alone would have brought me, but it's got a good selection, friendly barkeeps, a decent jukebox and it's nice looking. Next time I'm in the neighborhood, I know where I can stop in.

Boasting an immaculately curated draft list, free popcorn, and friendly service, the Green Lady is an essential Chicago beer bar. If you have a chance to talk to Melani, the owner, you'll understand why; her dedication and passion are immediately evident, and help explain why the Green Lady is welcoming to long time regulars and new travelers alike. Make sure to stop by on Tuesdays for open mic night!

The bartender and space were fantastic with a wide variety of selections. We went during open mic night on a Tuesday, i had always thought that meant people go up there for a few songs but there was a person with a guitar playing and it was unfortunately very loud and went on for hours. There were pretty much only regularly there and they all seemed to understand. Also someone had to be carried out by a cop because they passed out with their dog. Overall it was a very odd experience.

If I lived in Chicago, this would be my go to drinking spot. Incredible beer list with a bunch of great stuff on draft. They’re a Malört bar so they go hard on everything Malört including an ever changing rotation of infusions. On my visit, I absolutely loved the Gumball infusion. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the cheddar caramel version, too. I don’t like the Chicago style popcorn mix with the same flavor profile but it somehow worked in Malört?

I normally have a great bartender! There was one time the bartender was a bit short but it is not the norm.

Been coming every week for trivia night on Thursdays. It's a very popular event and unfortunately there isn't enough seating to host everyone comfortably. Drinks can be pricey but the $6 specialty drinks are where it's at. The hosts and bartenders are very friendly.

They don't sell food but there is self serve popcorn in the back. They do allow you to bring food in and it's conveniently located near a bunch of restaurants. Trivia is on Thursdays at 8pm and it's packed. There's indoor and outdoor seating.

Vegetarian options: No food

Dietary restrictions: It's just popcorn. I don't think it's buttered

Parking: It's all metered street parking in this neighborhood

Kid-friendliness: It's a bar. No food.

Wheelchair accessibility: First floor, no steps and also outdoor seating on the sidewalk
