AJ and Joe (“Zew”?) took great care of my bestie and I when we came in before a show we were seeing at Thalia Hall across the street. We got there around 6 and were some of the only people there since it was so early in the evening, so we got to talk to the guys behind the bar. The vibe was very clearly the good kind of Chicago grunge and it felt cozy and cool at the same time. I only recently realized how much I enjoy bloody Mary’s, so I asked Zew if he could make me one. They didn’t have tomato juice, but he improvised with their house made michelada mix and I can’t fully explain how delicious it was! It’s an off-the-menu special now, so don’t hesitate to ask for a Dirty Mary next time you’re there! We had a few drinks and then went across the street for the show, which was amazing… But decided to go back for one last drink before heading to the hotel. It was incredibly busy at that point but Zew still made sure we got our drinks. Even once it was packed, it’s still a place. I would hang out in if I lived in the area. I cannot recommend this place enough. Great service, I didn’t have any food or I’m sure I would highly recommend that too, and great drinks.

Nice spot to drink a few beers. Mixed drinks a hit or miss ingredients for drink on lower end but prices are premium. Staff attentive. Washroom room looks like nightmare but is clean. TV normal size ok to watch sports. Parking horrible on weekends in this area in pilsen. CAUTION if you walk area is surrounded by REAL STREET GANGSTA!!!. catch an Uber

Love the drinks and vibe. Great neighborhood bar for inventive cocktails or just a beer and shot.

I only end up here when I'm going to a show at Thalia cuz it's a perfect spot to eat or drink before or after a show at Thalia cuz it's like right across from Thalia. If you live close go there with more frequency, if you don't but you find yourself close by and hungry or thirsty then go there.

The AC and fans were flowin! Just what this sweaty guy needed before heading into a show across the street. Friendly and fast.

The large white bartender with the big beard was rude and lazy. Seemed like he didn’t want to be working. Maybe he was having a bad day. Either way, it’s pretty weird to take it out on the customers. I usually recommend this bar to friends visiting the neighborhood, but won’t be coming back nor recommending it to anyone anymore.

I came here with 6 friends around 9pm. The bartender kicked us out within minutes, claiming we were too drunk after serving us all beer. We’re all from the neighborhood and have been here multiple times but never dealt with this nonsense. Well make sure to recommend our friends go elsewhere from now on.
Great Miller High Life with shot deal!
Stopped in with some friends after a show at Thalia Hall.
The Green Room is a great small bar. Friendly and Guinness on tap, yay!
