Our server was polite and efficient. She helped with selections. The steak Cobb was excellent and nicely priced. We split it with some to spare. The filet was excellent too.
Excellent food, comfortable dining room, great service, nice selection of wines by the glass.
We ate before a show at the CIBC theater across the street. There's a nice wine list, good cocktails and a varied menu. The appetizer crab cake is huge! The airline chicken breast, lobster bisque and cauliflower steak were all delicious. The booths in the back are comfortable and quiet and the service was excellent.
I ordered the cauliflower steak and it was delicious. Went far beyond what I expected. The curry sauce was delectable.
It would be nice to serve bread or crispies or breadsticks before the meal. The branzino was perfectly cooked to my well done liking. My medium rare filet mignon was beautifully cooked, spiced and served with au jus. Service was excellent and helpful. The 3% service is bothersome!
Jesse really made our experience! The place is beautiful, with amazing drinks (you must try the beeline drink) and phenomenal food. Definitely will be coming back!
The overall dining experience surpassed my expectations. Our waitress Dee was fabulous and fun. The crab cake was the best I've had, the key lime remoulade out of this world. The 22 ounce ribeye, delicious and melted in your mouth. The Sommelier recommended the best wine pairings. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, you will not be disappointed!
Great service great food! wonderful ambiance. Quick yet attentive service and we had three courses and a drink within and hour that was top tier for me! I will be back for the lambchops and caesar salad for sure!
We were impressed with our dinner. The service was first class from start to finish—every member of the staff, from the host to the server to the manager, made us feel genuinely welcome. The atmosphere is serene and the menu offered something for everyone. The steaks were the standout and prepared perfectly. We had the Bee-line cocktail which was served with a little flower and supports local pollinator habitats. Loved it. Conveniently located near theaters and hotels—highly recommend!
I am not one to write reviews but I just had to. I should have known when I saw some other reviewers comment lol. Went there 05/17 to celebrate my bf's birthday. Ambience was good, quiet, like fine dining and that was the kind of service I was expecting too. But unfortunately, The service was the poorest for that level of restaurant. I told the waiter I noticed the Calamari was served cold when he came to get our plates, and he replied in a rude tone and sarcastically said “I will let the manager know and also let him know you finished your food”. The calamari was cold and we knew there was no way it was freshly made as we have had fried calamari in other restaurants and when you know you just know. First of all, I didn't make the statement because I was angry and wanted to speak to a manager, I even said it in a calm and with a smiley face (I didn't end up speaking to a manager) He and the person we presumed was the manager passed by us a couple of times without saying a word to us. Then he disappeared for the most part and he had an attitude like he was offended we said the calamari was cold. The food was not even up to expectations, overly fried and dried cold calamari, and to think thats one of the reasons we came to the restaurant after seeing it on their menu. After we ordered our salad, I knew I didn't want to be there any longer because if we were gonna spend the amount of money we wanted to spend then the least we could get was service and a server that was superb as well. We left and went to Chicago Cut Steakhouse, that was the best decision and our evening ended perfect. Regretted even wasting our time going to the Grillroom in the first place. The Grillroom— Ambience- Awesome Calamari was a No for me- even lower end restaurants served way better calamari Salad was good, loved it Service and Server- terrible

Booth seat had wooden support underneath that was very uncomfortable. The two tables were pushed together and were different heights. Smallest oysters Rockefeller we have ever seen. Service was not good for the price. Our steaks were overcooked but tasted good. Lobster was great. Asked for sour cream for the potatoes and they charged extra for it?! Never have I seen condiments served ala carte. We will not be returning.
It was a nice business dinner with clients because we were in good company but based solely on the restaurant, it was not impressive. I've been to a lot of "Chophouses" around the country and this one did not meet my expectations and I was not impressed. Our clients weren't impressed either. It seemed dated and gave a cafeteria or diner-like vibe. The food and drinks were mediocre at best. Plus side, love the payphone in the back by the bathrooms. Don't ever get rid of that! Unfortunately, I would not go back or recommend this one.
Our experience was amazing. We were celebrating a birthday and had a lovely time. Tony was amazing. Will be back!
Great drinks, great food and excellent service. We had 3 very different palates and we were all happy with our meals.
Good selection of food in the menu and many great drinks to choose from. The restaurant is conveniently located across from the CIBC theater which is nice if catching a show. Service could be a little quicker and two of the fillets ordered had fat which was odd. Still, I would go here again if attending a show across the street.
