Very quaint coffee shop in the heart of Lincoln Square. The coffee is always very fresh and the place has a warm atmosphere.
Great little coffee shop on Lincoln. Love the atmosphere.
Food was ok. Not bad but not wow.
Good service and place to read and drink coffee
I ordered a small cappuccino and a ham, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich. The barista was sitting in the back reading and begrudgingly got up to take my order. The cost was over $10 and gave me a percentage option for tip starting at 15%. The breakfast sandwich alone was $6. I was expecting great things. I ended up with an okay capp and a tasteless microwaved egg patty and some cheese sauce on an oversized and dry biscuit with no ham. And I tipped before getting served so I was very frustrated about this carelessness.
This shop used to be a great local place, but since the change in ownership it's sadly gone downhill. Food was simple, local and unique. Now it's basic at best...which makes places like Starblech appeal to the masses. I can make decent coffee at home.
Friendly neighborhood cafe. Americano to go!
Good food and coffee
This place really was a gem. Then there was the SIGNS😡😡. Hate it. The vibe is dead and the prices are up, should have just slapped a Starbucks out front. Looks like spoken is it.
Updated review: Sadly, the original and awesome owner sold the shop, and it's gone downhill drastically. I'm so disappointed!! As a regular for over 6 years, walking in to an empty coffee shop, with no more delicious PB cookies, no people, no baked good, enormous and tacky signs, and 75% of the menu gone.... I mean. How do you tank a business that badly? The Grind will never be the same. :( I hear that the coffee is to change soon, and if the quality of coffee changes, I'm out.

A very unpretentious coffee shop off the main drag in Lincoln Square. They serve cafe food and coffee/tea, plus baked goods. The drip coffee is usually great, not over-extracted or burnt tasting. Their Chai is more traditionally spicy as opposed to the sweeter versions at other shops. It can be crowded at popular times with lots of people on laptops, so beware if you're looking for a place to sit.
This is my favorite local coffee shop and there are a few reasons why. It's super important to support your local coffee shop when there are Dunkin donuts and Starbucks on every corner.
If you're in Lincoln Square and not in a hurry, stop & smell the coffee (& espresso, cappuccino, tea, etc) and taste the quiche, sandwiches & sweets. A nice little place (free WiFi) run by nice people.
staff is super cool and friendly, coffee is great!
Sweet place great coffee and tea plus good eats!
