The Gundis Kurdish Kitchen Reviews
A treat for all of the senses! My introduction to The Gundis was a Sunday breakfast. What a beautiful feast was laid before me, my husband and a local friend who we were visiting. We ordered the Kurdish breakfast for two plus an order of baklawa crêpes. An array of colorful, tantalizingly-scented dishes soon filled our table. The Gundis Kurdish Kitchen serves amazing food with exceptional service. The restaurant offers a great brunch experience, literally the best brunch in Chicago, including the delicious Kurdish breakfast for two and baklawa crêpes. The lamb shish kebab and lamb wrap are standout dishes, and the appetizers, entrees, and desserts are all superb. The sampler, including hummus, baba ganoush, octopus salad, and ezme, and the red lentil soup are also excellent. The staff is polite, informative, and attentive, making it a wonderful spot for a great meal. The portion sizes are perfect. The atmosphere is nice, though the sound in the room is very live. The servers are constantly helpful, assisting with food and wine selections. The restaurant is super accommodating for special occasions, and everyone leaves eager to return. Absolutely worth it.
