I really wanted to love it here. I will say, I appreciated that my group of four was seated right away since we arrived early. We sat on the upper level and our waiter was kind, but after our food came out, we were never checked on again. I was dying for some salt and pepper lol. Whenever he was nearby, he seemed busy helping other tables, and I didn't want to be rude and interrupt. The food itself was good, but overall this felt like a one-and-done experience for me. I'm glad I tried it, but now it's time to check out other spots.
Excellent experience in every way. Food was tremendous, service was great. Overall, just a fabulous visit.
The food was a little bit salty and the noise level was so high that we couldn't talk during the meal.
Coffee and food were cold. Overpriced for the standard of food and cannot provide poach eggs.
Usually our experience great. This time our waiter was pushy - like he was trying to win a contest.
The food and atmosphere was fine but this was the first time I was hit with an 18% tip automatically on the bill for a party of four????? Fortunately our server told me about it when delivering the check but thought this was a bit presumptuous and what if the service had been less than acceptable??
the hampton social was a great experience, however there were definitely a few things that did throw off the night. first, our waiter was very kind and attentive, but he failed to mention that the water was going to cost money and would arrive in personal bottles. you can imagine our surprise when we open the bill and we see 3 bottles charged for $9 each..$27 just to stay hydrated. insane. he did mention there was tap water, but he was pushing for us to get the sparkling and still water..not sure what the difference between the two is but they're just water so i don't understand the unnecessary money grab. my reservation was for a birthday, and so our waiter mentioned how we could get a complimentary dessert. again, to our surprised, we were charged for the dessert. in the end we solved this issue and received the free dessert. aside from that, the food was pretty good. it was a little pricey for the portion and quality, but it yummy nonetheless. another thing, the music was too loud here. i could barely the person next to me, let alone the waiter. trust me, i know this review sounds bad, but if you are willing to splurge then go for it!! the vodka pasta and truffle fries were amazing!!!
The hostess was extremely rude and seemed stressed with her job. Walked in at 7:35pm on a Friday night. She states there will be a 45 minute wait or the bar is open. I make an online reservation on open tables for 7:45pm right there. She seemed annoyed and told me to check in at 7:45pm which was in 5 minutes so I sat down and waited 5 minutes to check in. I try to check in at 7:45pm and she doesn't respond or speak to me and leaves. She comes back at 7:50pm stating it'll still be a few minutes. She checks other people in and seat them all immediately. We finally get seated by 8pm upstairs where there are plenty of open tables. Luckily our waiter was amazing and we ordered as soon as we sat down. Food was amazing and came quickly. There's an automatic 18% tip added to bill. Will not come back to this location but the river north location I've been to plenty and they're all super kind.
The Bloody Mary was overpriced for such a plain drink garnished with one stalk of celery and NO other trimmings served in a small glass. Will never order it again! HS has a great ambience. My server was also great and attentive.
Went here for brunch. Service was very slow, had to ask a couple times for things and then it was like we were annoying them. It feels like the guaranteed 18% service charge doesnt prioritize service. Location is great and vibe is nice, but wished it had been more friendly.

Great brunch menu with variety for all palates. The aesthetic is a vibe all by itself. The live music is nice too, depending on the artist.
Food and drinks were very good albeit the lower level was pretty noisy, coupled with traffic and ambulances sirens. Service was excellent. Prices were comparable for similar restaurants.
Had lunch with a group of 8 on 2 different dates while in town for work. One day with a reservation and one without. The service was friendly and prompt both days. We had limited breaks for lunch and were able to manage it because the food came out promptly and it was easy to pay. The food was fresh and straightforward (Caesar salad, chicken sandwich, fish sandwich, quinoa bowl - everyone was happy with their choice). Wine selection was nice and the white and rose were chilled well.
Definitely expected more from this place, considering the reviews. Food was way over-priced for what it was ... smaller meal sizes and average, mediocre food (we were a party of 6 and ordered everything from breakfast sandwiches to chicken stacks to clam chowder and this was true about all options). Since we were a party of 6, the automatically added gratuity was expected, but then when we went to pay, another service/platform fee was automatically added when we used the QR code on the table to pay our bill. This was not told to us beforehand nor were we given another option to pay our bill, so be careful about additional and hidden fees tacked on to your meal/bill on top of the overpriced food.
The food was good but watch out for all of the hidden fees. We were offered chips or fries with our burgers. It wasn't until we got our bill that we learned fries were an up-charge ($3 for regular fries and $7 for truffle fries). You can add protein to the pasta but they don't tell you it's $17 to add salmon! Auto gratuity (18%) is added to the check and the default setting when you go to pay is to add an additional 7%.
